** MASSIVE NVIDIA PRICE DROP!!! **

About time manufacturers like MSI sold graphics cards fully sealed, every time I have bought open it's open box, thus any Tom, Dick, or Harry could have used and abused it.

All manufacturers should sell their cards fully sealed, if the seal is broken when a DSR is made, charge them a restocking fee, simple as that unless it's an actual faulty product.

This is true, I bought an MSI 280X from here once and it arrived in a tatty box with unpackaged accessories and missing protective covers for the i/o and crossfire fingers. It also happened to instantly reach over 95C when mining so I figured it was probably a DSR return from someone who wanted to mine with it. About a month later it actually started artifacting in games so I was able to return it to MSI anyway and a replacement given, so I'm kind of glad it became faulty!

It would be good if they used proper seals as you say so that there wouldn't be a risk of getting a previously used card!

and your still carrying on about this...............

And you're still not getting that we're customers and we're expressing issues and concerns. Really, what is hard to understand about this exactly?

It's 'you're'.

So much for checking on peoples thoughts of the very cheap 780ti's

Perhaps I might ask a relevant question?

The website says they are due today, but they are still on pre-order?

Can I get an update on when they are going to be in stock?

Thanks.

Dude the guy can bench press planets and your trying to mock his grammar? That would be a very embarrassing tombstone: "here lies Rusty, died 2014 correcting grammar on the internet".

Neither being able to spell or bench press uber weight is particularly impressive. The correct spelling may get you further than the weights but who cares either way.

A lot of the ocuk staff can't spell those words correctly and neither can many forum regulars. As for the tombstone comment, don't be so ridiculous.

In the end, it doesn't really matter does it? 2pack can physically destroy hardware in the running sense or... physical sense but he can't spell some stuff properly.

I very much doubt he's a violent person or a keyboard warrior so I'm sure everyone can get along just fine. The carrying on comment isn't particularly great on his part, but hey perhaps he's fed up!

DSR being gone is good for retailers, but I'm sure it probably is open to abuse by some of the less honest places online. Hopefully ocuk isn't one of them.

It's on the road for delivery today. We of course have no control over that. So if nothing goes wrong between now and 5pm they should arrive today and will be booked in with much urgency

Perhaps merge all these CCR points with a CCR thread and keep the 780 stuff in here? We've taken it a bit off topic, probably just cut and paste the last 3 pages!

On a CCR related point - probably best if OCUK stops referring to it as a "restocking fee" as this is incorrect, it's a deduction which can be applied if the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of handling. I can't see that it says a restocking fee is allowed anywhere in the regs.
