Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

So taken the plunge.. gone for a free account to start with. I've done my deposits and placed my bet on Coral and betfair.. can I now just place my free bets or do I need to wait for it to settle? Seemed pretty straight forward, can't help but feel a little skeptical.

Found this one myself while mooching around

WinCashLive offering 10/1 (which is 11) if you bet on England to beat Wales if you're a new customer and its your first bet upto £5. Any enhanced winnings are paid as free bets. If you lose, you get your stake back too!

You place a £5 bet at normal odds (currently 1.57) and if it comes up its paid at 11. The lay on betfair happens to be 1.6 at the moment.

So I bet £5, lay £35.48 at 1.6.

If England don't win, I get £28 profit in my exchange and my fiver back. If England win I get a load of free bets.

I wasn't sure at first so checked on the facebook group and got the all clear!

Juddermudder. No need to be sceptical. I started Thursday and will break £200 today and have over £100 in free bets still to use. The only thing that slows you down is how much you have in your exchange.

I need to look into this one later.

Edit: not sure what your £35 lay is about? Is that your liability figure? If you stand to lose that much from the exchange if England win, then you aren't going to make much, if any, more from the free bets.

Personally I think I'll be backing/laying at the given odds to make a qualifying loss of 19p (currently), then if they win I'll essentially get £50 of free bets. If they lose I'll get the fiver back to make a few quid profit and move on.

The liability is £21.29.

Both ways work but mine should net I tihnk £25-33 depending on the outcome, yours might net you £50 in free bets or £4.

I think. As I said, I did check with the guys.

Not bad!

I've just started, signed up to a free yesbets account and followed everything up to the qualifying bet. Seems ok for now. Just need to get my head around it a bit more!

Placed a bet on the football with my £5 free bet and layed it on betfair at the odds given by yesbets.

I'll see which account wins tomorrow and settle with yesbets, then start on my free bets!

Can i use all the £20 on 1 bet or do i need to do 4 separate bets/ lays?

One one of the communities? Seems too good to be true but for a fiver, screw it.

I see where it's coming from now, with back odds of 11 in the calculator. I might be being a simpleton but I'm still not convinced of such profit if the back bet wins since the winnings aren't cash, so there'll be a % loss when 'converting' each free bet into profit.

Indeed. The best outcome is that England don't win. If England do win you still do ok, just not as well.

If you're confident we'll win then just do the standard odds and keep your fingers crossed!

Depending on your float though right now I can see £9.92 returns on a £10 free bet. So you could get 99% out!

Just to confirm you put £5 on with a new account at 1.57 with no sign of the offer on the bet slip and they will pay at 10/1? I don't trust them so I'm only laying £10.

Normally if it activates on the bet slip you would see a line through the old odds and the boosted odds next to it. You may have to do it through a bonus section e.g. with LeoVegas for the England v Russia game - you had to go to bonuses and select the bet through there and the boosted odds would show.

Quite fancy the Portugal match with the PP offer. No idea why, most of the games so far are quite low scoring.

Managed to get on it with 1.44/1.43 , so technically a 0.02p profit whatever happens.

So do I, but like an idiot I used a free £5 bet to bet against them. Not sure sticking 25 on them to win would be a good idea but maybe it would slip through.

ANOTHER low scoring PP MBS game!

France v Albania is on the MBS cards tomorrow. Surely France have to destroy the Albanians right?
