Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

I've gone through about 60% of the signups and have made £1k since December, however it has become very time consuming. I started hitting the horses lately as it didn't take up much time, 20-30 mins in the morning job done but long term I don't think I will spend any more time on it than that.

It's very easy to get distracted and spend lots of time on it, more so with the YesBets community on FB as some on there are able to work from home and hit £300-400 a week but they spend most of their evenings and all their weekends on it, not something I could do.(Also find it quite ridiculous when people on there moan that they have only made £300 in the week!)

Once I've completed all the remaining signup bonuses my plan is to stick with the Casino Cruncher risk free offers, hit the horses in the morning and every now and then jump on some football reloads.

A realistic target of mine is going to be £200-250 a month.

Thought i would give this a go so signed up to yesbets on Sunday. Don't follow any sport and never really unstood odds so will be an interesting learning curve!

Did the coral signup bonus and then cashed out the 30quid winnings and went to try log in this morning and looks like i've been gubbed. should have read more of the guides before cashing out!

Why isn't there software that actually place the bet for you instead so you don't even have todo anything?

because that would be very easy to spot from the bookies point of view. lots of bets on similar odds/teams etc. Bookies are very very clued up on betting patterns etc - a bot would easily be spotted and your account would be gubbed instantly.

I wouldn't say I'm near the end of all offers, but I certainly know I won't reach that figure! I unfortunately had accounts with other places previously, that has had a small impact. I'd say I've done 6/7 offers and I have made around £80, most of which came from one of the Casino cruncher offers.

Maybe I've just been a little unlucky?

It is a marathon not a sprint. February has been a bit slow for me but you have to just keep plodding on, grabbing the free fivers and tenners and building your balance. There are a few larger sign ups to do but you need a decent exchange balance first.

I had accounts with a few of the big bookmakers too, knocking off an extra £200-300 potential profit. The figure I quoted is with winnings on the horses too mind you.

Thanks both, good to know.

Yet to get into the horses at all, any tips?

The High 5 promo at WH is a good one to get on board, aim for minimal QL (would not recommend more than £2 QL per race) and aim for the favourite to win. If it wins by 5L or more you get a 25% bonus on your profit (as a free bet max £100), if it loses by 5L then you get your stake back as a free bet (max £25 per race).

I assume you're Laying these bets also? Still fairly new to it all, so dummies guide appreciated :)

Yes lay the bets as well, be a little careful with the High 5. If the horse has very low odds then you won't get much of a free bet unless you put a massive bet on

For example a horse at 1.5 odds with a £25 bet on it will return you a £3.12 ( ((stake * odds) - stake) / 4 ) free bet. Take away your QL from that and you won't really make anything

Obviously if you have the bank roll to dump more money on the bet then that is fine but just make sure that the free bet you will get from it leaves you with some profit

Yep laying them off too.

As howler said, the lower odd horses tend to require larger stakes to make it worthwhile (this does mean a big bankroll).

£30 made in free bets today from WH H5, so far made about £275 in FB from WH alone this month.

Does anyone know which bookies allow more than one account per address (in a different name, bank account etc., obviously)?

Made a rookie mistake on william hill and bet on both Tottenham and Gent to win tonights match - both bets are layed in betfair but will WH see this as arbing and gub my account?

Still very new to this - only signed up to yesbets on sunday and up to £54 profit. I'm struggling to do more signup bonuses at the minute as cash is spread across bookies and only got £72 in betfair.

188Bet £15
Betfred £22
Boylesports £32.50
Paddy Power £62.80
William Hill £6

Going to have to do some mug bets and hope the lay wins.

Same price per month. I already use the Yesbets balance tracker, but wondered if it was worth the premium membership.
Oh I must have been thinking of a different site.

Premium membership gives you access to guides on all bookie sign ups, all reload offers worth knowing about, and, most importantly, a very active and helpful Facebook group. You really can't go wrong with it.
