Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

Beginners luck I guess but another day, another 5 fold and another winner - £20.00 on- - won £78.24

So £80 spend over 4 acca's - £145.56 returned, plus another £13.84 profit from free bet from the one losing leg acca. Healthy 4 days work

So basically this isn't match betting is it. Your just punting £20 hoping either you win the ACCA or just one leg looses?

I was wondering the same, how can you make £13.84 profit from a free bet if you spent £20 to get the free bet in the first place?

Correct. Also known as "gambling".

yes - that's correct but since this thread has died a death in terms of actual "matched betting" - basically I was using the "no lay acca" method

the expected profit depends on the average back odds:

Average back odds of 1.2 = £6.20 expected profit
Average back odds of 1.3 = £5.30 expected profit
Average back odds of 1.4 = £3.80 expected profit
Average back odds of 1.5 = £2.10 expected profit

Your profit on an individual acca will depend on the how many teams win as shown above, but over the longer term you should average the expected profit.

There are no lay bets being placed, so there is no Exchange commission being paid.

It's NOT matched betting but long term you should manage the expected profit.

I'm looking forward to moving house in a month or so and signing up for all new accounts since most of mine got gubbed after the Euros :p Even if I only do the sign up offers and then very little after it should be a decent boost

Yeah it is a bit quiet these days despite there being still plenty of offers. Some tasty new sign ups recently :D.

I've been struggling recently with the offers. The ones that are about don't seem to be anywhere near as good as they used to be. It doesn't help I've lost a few of the main accounts now for both my logins so I'm trying to be careful with the ones I do have left.

There were recently 2 x £100/1 x £50 sign ups on PA, though one has since been removed. Even with the removed one, that should be ~£100 profit.

Just signed up to this! Puts them on par with rivals :)

Started MB on the 4th and so far I'm up just under £100, should have a further £30ish come in tonight after getting 2 offers from William Hill - Bet £10 for 3 x £5 free bets and bet £10 for 1 x £10 free bet. Got both offers within this last week and I only did the signup offer last week!

Will need to do some mug bets I think, they've been very good.

I did matched betting a couple of years ago and used Profit Accumulator. I was just coming in to ask whether to go with Oddsmonkey this time? For one it's cheaper and for two I'm getting annoyed at the free pizza emails from PA.

Ive been with both and OM is better by far. I'll probably make a come back in the near future.
