Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

This has been covered time and time again in this thread.

Has it?

I'm asking him how he makes four figures a month. I'm very aware of matched betting, done plenty of it but there is barely any offers around to be making four figures a month. Am I not allowed to ask a question on these forums? I'm asking how he does it - not generic questions about matched betting which has been covered lots.

ok - I'll bite.....

How are you making 4 figures a month? What offers? and how much time are you putting into that.

2up can yield a massive amount if you do fairly large stakes and only "lock" at high odds or wait for a full turnaround
High risk casino
General sports offers

This month I've made over £5.5k and in 2017 I made just under £80k...tax free, which is nice

Of course the death of ACCAs - especially William Hill, Betfred and Coral is a kick in the nuts but still EV out there

Thanks for the information - very useful.

Lucky to make £30 a week now after 3 years due to gubbings etc. Still plod along though.

I've found the same. I'm often not in for the matches so can't get on many 2Ups so it's pretty much just 4MM and the odd small free bet for me now. I'm still getting £1-200 a month so can't complain, but it's nothing compared to what I was making.

Yes Street, deffo not what it used to be.

To make it worthwhile you need hardly any gubbings, luckily for me after talks last night my girlfriend and my sister have both decided to try it ;)

I tried to convince my sister over Christmas to let me use her details. I even said I'd give her a few hundred for it but she declined thinking it was some illegal scam and she'd get in trouble. I couldn't convince her otherwise. Luckily my GF was more willing, so I've been trying to preserve her accounts for the ones I've been gubbed on.

Laying the draw. I tend to lay £30 @ say 4.0 or whatever. So £120 exposure on the down side at the start. However my automated system is set to close out at 70 min mark on most games if still a drawing. Generally that brings the liability back down to more like a maximum of about £45 (or 1.5 times my stake).

Betangel was £99 for the year I think on special offer, I dabble with scalping and other bits and bobs so for £100 a year it's nothing - pays for itself.

Time wise - takes me about 10 mins on a saturday to find the matches I use. Certain criteria that fit my thoughts and it takes about 10 mins to find 4/5/6 games and then 2 mins to load them into the software. It's all automated after that.

Been out for dinner tonight and Las Palmas v Valencia game kicked off at 7.45pm as one of my games - (already automated before I went out) - layed the draw for £30, goal for Valencia in 6 mins, software has closed out for a £9.25 profit. Job done for today.

It ain't a way to make a fortune, you will get days where one or two games go against you and your down but it's a long term bit of "fun" for me to see if I can tweak it to be more profitable.

Todays games below -

Football / Fenerbahce v Goztepe : Match Odds 20-Jan-18 16:00 20-Jan-18 18:00 £22.21
Football / Plymouth v Wigan : Match Odds 20-Jan-18 15:00 20-Jan-18 16:58 £7.96
Football / Fulham v Burton : Match Odds 20-Jan-18 15:00 20-Jan-18 16:57 £11.40
Football / Arsenal v C Palace : Match Odds 20-Jan-18 15:00 20-Jan-18 16:53 £10.23
Football / Leicester v Watford : Match Odds 20-Jan-18 15:00 20-Jan-18 16:51 £6.85

Just having a play with laying the draw in practice mode with BetAngel (£20 stakes). I can definitely see how this can be profitable with a bit of research of games, a smidge of luck and having a stop loss in effect. Did a practice on Rotherham vs Bradford - let the game run until 60 minutes. Rotherham go 2-0 up and I could have greened up for a fake tenner right there (I let the game run and would have made just under £20 if it was real money). Am I right in thinking that at 2-0 I could then be sure that I get profit by having a stop loss within my profit margin (ie, protecting myself against a Bradford resurgence)?

Good bit of software. I did a little bit of Horse Racing scalping. Again, can be profitable if you do research and learn using BetAngel's practice mode. I think I'm going to prefer the football side though as that's my main sport.

My "bot" automatically greens up on any profit over £3. Obviously you can change that to whatever you want as a minimum so sometimes if a really early goal for the home favourites and you get £3.20 back or something as it auto greens up. You can change that to whatever you want as a minimum figure before it auto greens.

I will have to have a look at BetAngel. I'm currently trying to clear some of the more obscure signup bonuses, then will finish of the bingo and casino offers. Been doing this for years and still more sign up offers keep popping up. Nowhere near the absurd offers from the good old days (plus cashback) but still welcome.

Popping into Grosvener this week to sign up for their casino card as it ups their sportsbook offer to 3x odds on a £50 stake. If I manage to do that various email offers probably mean a take of about £200 this week which I'm very pleased with.

I need to start taking it a bit more seriously, I've been coasting recently just relying on the easier weekly reloads and avoiding any horse racing/accy refunds but now I'm starting to move up the gears a bit.

how can you make that sort of cash on casino websites? I just see them as a mugs game and the offers are useless

£2200 this month from casino alone. This is where the real money is.

If you don't mind me asking what's your bank to be able to turn that kind of profit? And is that single accounts or are you multi-accounting? I'm going to move into casino shortly but just want to limit my expectations.

Im going to attempt this, any newby guides out there?

It's pretty out of date now but there is a forum on the MSE site where they had a MB diary from a chap called donglemouse. Worth a look, but I'd suggest signing up to one of the matching sites and working through their instructional videos.
