Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

Got no idea on what MB is but am keen to make some money on the side - can anyone please point me to specific posts or resources to help me understand?

Have read last 3 pages but nothing for beginners (not ready for Diddums training at this stage at least)

My "training" will be the most basic of basic stuff, no need to be prepared. If I do it anyway, only got one person interested so far.

That skybet ones brilliant. I'm laying off in full and just hope it doesn't win (which it will).

You'd make £15 a race if you are lucky enough to lose, two accounts, four days...a nice £120

Good way to enjoy Cheltenham.

Free win bets up to value of £20, if your horse loses you get refunded in cash.

A strategy could be 3-4 people pick 3-4 horses and split any winnings. DYOR etc , I`m not an affiliate of any kind just enjoy a punt on horses and this offer is a no brainer.

What could possibly go wrong with a free bet offer?

In general:

The bookie not honouring the offer.

Losing both the qualifying bet and the free bet if applicable.

If hedging/laying off then: some risk at the exchange like mismatched terms and conditions between the bookie and exchange or the markets moving before you manage to lay etc...

And of course a chance that you're susceptible to addiction and this starts you down the path of mug betting in general.

I`m not an affiliate of any kind

Why then does your link have a load of stuff at the end including "&aff=1197320942"?

Perhaps you should edit your post and trim all the **** off the link if you're not an affiliate.

Bit unfair m8, I`m not and you are inferring I am, I cba trimming etc that's all, I took the link from a simple google search, seriously check it exhaustively then do the right thing and recognise I did this in the spirit of perhaps helping some others.

I was just asking a question and making a suggestion - it looks like an affiliate link, I don't know if it is for sure thus the question about what "&aff=1197320942" referred to and the suggestion that you edit the post as I'm not sure that moderators will know for sure either.

I'm sure there are plenty of other posters on here who'd be more than happy to make new threads with affiliate links in the OP in the spirit of helping others too, it is perhaps better to remove unnecessary stuff that looks like an affiliate link if you're not an affiliate.

If you really want to share the love then do what @Diddums does and offer to help people in the thread already dedicated to matched betting, offers like this etc...

FYI actually I did truncate the link but it didn't work, try it, search for skybet cheltenham offer then click the link and you`ll see this.
Seriously you are being unnecessarily accusatory and a bit aggressive, jeez I as anyone can see only tried to do something that might benefit others.

It's not a free bet, it's a cash refund if you lose

or in other words.....clever marketing to get you to use skybet over the other bookies and get you hooked like a drug dealer

didn't work on me, I use skybet everyday without fail but can quit whenever I like....jokes on them!

Well sorry if you feel that way I've already given an explanation. FYI This link works for me:

I get a different affiliate link via google, why not just edit your post?
