Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

I was mug betting with £10 on and won £3  I will do the mobile offer for £50 at the weekend with 365.

Careful with gnoming, not everyone thinks it's a good idea, and lots have had fund suspended

I think it's a great idea! And I'm not worried about losing funds - it'd be profit I'd made the day before anyway.

Funds never stay in the gnomes and if they cancelled a bet I'd just cashout the lay as well. All theoretical though, had no problems so far and I'm VERY careful logging in an out (VPN on > CCclean > log into accout > do bet > do betfair lay on a diff computer > log out > CCclean and reinse repeat).

Forget to put the VPN on and log into a gnome though and it's game over for all accounts you've logged into via that IP address (excepting partner friendly bookies ofc).

Why bother with the betfair lay on another computer, I wouldn't even bother with a different account for betfair. Exchange get their commission regardless of what you are doing.

Not only that but I am sure you understand that you external IP on the other computer is pretty much the same regardless (unless you are running to the library ;)).

Funds for all winnings can be suspended, so unless you are withdrawing on the daily it could cost you a fair amount. Withdrawing too often will probably lead to a gubbing anyway.

I do a lot of betfair offers, so want to keep that account in good order as well.

Withdrawing often doesn't lead to gubbing. It's very "muggy" to withdraw whenever you hit a win. Besides, I usually mug the winnings via a bet that 95% of the time will win at the exchange so the funds end up in my betfair/smarkets account thus negating the need for withdrawing. All free bets go on accas as well, and they never win at the bookie ;-)

Regardless, good discussion :-) Let's keep it up so we can have our own repository of information here - then we wont need PA :-)

Tomorrow, York 13.45. Something going on there; over £2,000 lay unmatched @ 9.8 on Betfair. Placed two bets with Totesport and Skybet at 11.0 and 13.0 respectively.

Liability: £1274.15 :p

Not really surprising, it's first C4 race. That's not too big of an amount for a Saturday.

Lots of offers on it, sky have a £25 refund if second (doubles as my bet club qualifier too).

Still looking for testers if anyone else wants a go?

Paddy have an offer on top premier league scorer. Get £2 everytime your pick scores for an initial £20 stake

I did that on Betfair for the COpa America - picked Neymar.

Didn't even get a chance to lay the bet off before he was banned!

Anyone used the BetFair cash out thing?

I was watching it as a horse race took place.

It was going +/- £1 or so, then as the race progressed it went +£15 cash out, -£25 etc.

I cashed out when it was in profit but I lost £12 odd? Was I too slow?

Don't think I'll risk it again. Not on horse racing anyway. :p

There is a few seconds delay.

Don't use it on horses. It's ok for slow moving inplay games - like football matches. But really, if you're matched betting the only time you should use it is if you've layed by mistake. Otherwise you're just gambling, which isn't really what matched betting is about.
