Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

Just did my stuff for the first week of footy.

888Sport - I chose Man City, Watford and Palace as my three teams.
Have bet (and layed)
£20 for Norwich to beat Palace
£20 for Everton to beat Watford
£20 for City to beat West Brom

Hoping for some goals, as at the moment it's a loss of £3.35 over the 3 games.

Did my first Acca with 10Bet (£40).
Utd v Spurs (Utd to win)
Chelsea v Swansea (Chelsea to win)
Stoke v Liverpool (Liverpool to win)
West Brom v Man City (City to win)

Stake ideal was £32.20 for the first game, but I've gone in at £28.

I need to get my William Hill and Coral account reactivated.

Depending on how the games go this weekend will decide whether I bother with this malarky.

Building my bank slowly after withdrawing a few months ago. Got a few bets on top goalscorer and outright winner which should give me some free bets. Also got a few withdrawals pending, really hoping they clear tomorrow so I can place a few bets this weekend.

Still really enjoying it, it's just really slow when you've got very little bank (and I refuse to add cash from my main bank account).

Depends how much patience you have. Right now, there are loads of good offers, three of the potential best are:

Back the top goalscorer on Unibet, Betfair Sportsbook and Paddy Power and every time they score, you will get a free bet. Lay these bets off for instant profit.

Thing is, that money will be locked up for the whole of the Premier League. The amount for the back bets alone are £75 in total, add another £150-250 for the lay bets and you're looking at potentially £325 in total, cash you won't be able to touch for a few weeks.

On top of that, how much money you have will dictate how fast you can earn. It can take up to a week for a withdrawal to hit your bank account and that means less offers to do whilst you wait. Basically, more £££ = more offers.

That said, even with £50 you can start today and be making a few quid here or there. The sooner you start, the sooner you'll be accumulating :)

Sorry to hassle you, I've had a few look overs on guides and seems to be easy cash to make providing you have upfront monies.

Is PA worth it? Even for a month for £17.99 to learn the ropes and then go it alone?

If you only have a wee bit of cash, start off with Fixtheodds (google it) which will walk you through a few offers first which will make you a few pounds extra. No point spending £18 on a membership if all you have is £50 to begin with. Fixtheodds will become a pay deal after a few offers but that's when you say goodbye as quite frankly anything beyond their automated service is just rubbish.

They also don't explain why you're doing what you're doing, they simply say "do this. Now do this" but as long as you use your head you'll be fine.

Just remember that the biggest cause for people not making money or worse - losing it, is making simple errors. Check everything. Twice. Once you get the hang of it it'll be much easier but for your first few offers in particular, be very alert to small mistakes as these can cost you.

Morning chaps. I've been a matched bettor for a few years now but my output has declined in the last 12 months. I'm interested in getting back into it for the new football season, (though I'm not adverse to any other kind of betting) but obviously I've stripped all of the low hanging fruit already.

I've basically maxed out all of the online bookies (barring a few newbies which I'll work round to). Where do people suggest I go from here?

If I have an internet account am I still elligible to pick up new customer mobile bonuses?

Also is there a resource online that can run me through the less obvious aspects of matched betting, e.g. stoozing money back offers, accy laying etc?

My MB work tailed off when I bought my house due to time constraints and unfortunately, due to working my way through free sign ups, I never enlightened myself as to some of the more complex matched betting techniques. If anyone can sign post me that would be awesome.

Profit Accumulator is great, yet to hear anyone say anything negative about it. I get an email every day wkth all the day's offers in it and there's the Facebook group for discussing stuff.

You don't need it, but it's that good that once you try it, there's no going back. Cuts time spent in half.

Just had a look at the site, I think I'll check it out this weekend and maybe do a month long sub, just see how it goes. It certainly looks like an interesting service, and anything that cuts down how time consuming it can be is well worth it.

one thing I would do is make sure you're using a different e-mail for your bookie signups than you are for profit accumulator - I've also keep the e-mail you use for singing up to bookies separate from any social media accounts - I'd be surprised if some weren't doing it already but it would be prudent for bookies to also open PA accounts/'like' the facebook page and then grab as many member details as they can

facebook has a variety of APIs - I mean searching by e-mails, keeping a database of PA member's names and checking against people placing certain bets when PA sends an e-mail out etc.. would be quite trivial to do

I've always taken this approach. I can't speak for PA, but I do know the MSE forum have a reasonably active MB community, some of the people there who use the same handles for the forum as their betting accounts have run into difficulty.

Do those allegations come with any sauce?

I haven't ever needed to sign up for a premium membership, but lots of talk about them promoting multiple accounts.

Also why bother, with a different email, if a bookie signs up to PA they can just gub all the people that take the PA offers, probably a hours worth of work for a trader.

I don't really see what their problem is anyway, 80% of the time I lose at the bookies and if I don't I will eventually (I don't withdraw my winnings, I just arb them).

At the end I'll have deposited £25/50 or whatever the initial amount was and withdrawn nothing. The only losers are the people that matched my lays on Betfair. A free bet is only bad for the bookies if it wins and you withdraw.

I don't know what you mean by "gub all the people that take the PA offers" either, and it shows that you haven't signed up. The majority - if not all - of the offers that PA 'promote' are publicly available, it's just easier to have them all in one place than going to find them yourself. If they banned everyone that took the offers they'd be banning a fair proportion of their users, most of which have nothing to do with PA.

After the initial Beginner, Advanced bets and bingo offers (£10 deposit ones rather than the £75) the £17.99 a month cost is a bit more questionable.

All it seems to provide is:
Wager £1000 get some spins
Bet £50 get £5
Risk free £10

Depending on how much time you're willing to put in depends on how good you think it will be.

it's either check PA or read through all your emails/search each bookie for new deals.

Without PA I would have probably missed the £5 Betfair Blackjack thing which I turned into £21.50 - paying for the membership (almost) for about 15 minutes "work".

Acca refunds and horse refunds are great, but you need a fair bit of bank to lay them off.

Aye, trying my first ACCA this weekend.

Talking of which... my "lay" (Man U v Spurs) has a cash-out of 16p profit, should I do this?

Annoying having money tied up, got about £1k sitting all over the shop at the moment. ;/

No, though it depends what you stand to gain. If that's on a £25 free bet for example then if you lose at the bookies you'll only profit 16p as opposed to £20+ for leaving it.

The profit's just a result of the odds changing (the back odds will be higher than your original lay now).
