Mattresses - I need knowledge

Ahh now, I have literally just ordered via Simba and I'm pretty sure the weekends were greyed out when choosing a delivery date, regardless of whether you required a premium delivery (removal of old mattress) or not.

I would have ordered via John Lewis but they wanted another 25 spudniks to take the old one away. Unsure whether they delivered Saturday though ...

You could always call them.

I'm considering a Simba bed and mattress, does anyone else have a real user opinion before I take the plunge. I can't take the review sites seriously as most of its fake (cynical me :)

Same as bruce, my top choice is Simba hybrid. I think my current mattress (a dreams one) is 10 years old or not more.

just a heads up, I went through the order and stopped just before paying as I was unsure when I would be in for delivery.

they just rang me back and offered me a £75 discount plus the free pillows :D

So Simba mattress arrived yesterday. Took around 4 hours to "fully inflate" with that usual hint of chemical aroma you get with memory foam type mattresses. However, I slept wonderfully on it and even experienced two lucid dreams periods (must have be the chemicals)!

The Emma mattress I bought a month ago has not worked out for a few reasons mainly it is just not comfortable, it can be very hot, and at times I feel I am lying on a slope, it is too firm. So back to the drawing board.
Looking for a hybrid as memory foam is far to warm even for someone with hypothyroidism.
Whilst I appreciate that mattresses are very subjective I have these on my shortlist.

The last two are similar to the Emma so perhaps should not be on the list.

Any thoughts gratefully appreciated.

Had the Simba mattress just over a month now. Love it!

I have always "ran hot" and struggled sleeping in summer months, not on this bad boy sleeping like a dream

The wife only has amazing things to say about it, she always slept light and broken not anymore shes out like a light!

only one tiny negative, struggling to find sheets that fit the mattress well.

Quick question, I'm looking at getting a new bed, fed up of buying cheap. I've got my eyes on a couple of divan beds but in the details it say's maximum user weight 101kg. Is that for one person or two, so it would actually be 202kg... ? If it is for one then that's not very good if you've got a partner, or am I just been dumb ? I don't fancy pulling the trigger to find out the divan base is made from a couple of sheets of cardboard and won't hold the weight of more than one adult.

I am looking for new mattress. At the moment i have a rest assured 2000 pocket sprung which has been very comfy but looking at memory foam like casper, simba etc. I have read a few reviews whereby people say they get too hot in them though. Any thoughts, have you got one and how do you get on with it etc.? Budget is around £500-600 maybe a bit more if worth it, kingsize.

Went with the Simba as:

The Sealy from Mattressonline did not come with a trial and I could not find it on the Sealy website which is a bit of a mess.
John Ryan is going to take 30+ days for delivery.
Eve was too shallow only 18 cm's and I have just spent a bunch of cash on 25 cm's Egyptian cotton bedding.
The Simba I discovered comes with two £45 pillows for free if you use a code JUNE18 which to be honest I did not see on the website but found when I was reading reviews.
