Max amount of ram,speed i3 14 gen + z690 mb

super dissapointed that a 13600kf need so high increase of pl1 and pl2 not to edp throttle 255 and 275 watt, icc max 245-250

does anybody know if a 14400f edp thottles ?
in games never chip will ever have a problem with power limits

the limit only kicks in under high stress loads
in game my CPU pulls a max of about 150w so no wear near the limits

i had a 13500 that would pull about 60w on average so i would assume the 14400 to be about the same

Shouldn't a cpu run 100% fine, stable with no throttling what so ever ?
no there is no CPU that will not throttle under a max load(Gaming is not max load in any way)
thats what temp and power limits are there for that is the limit of the CPU

in general there not made to be run at max limits, if you CPU is pinned at max load you got the wrong CPU.
that why there is 128core CPU's out there

Why do you care? Do you do anything that runs at max load?

The 14400F is slower in games, so why would you switch just because it doesn't throttle?

There's no need to worry about that.

I don't know if a 14400f wil throttle, a 13400f does it, so i expect a 14400f also does it

Like a car i want it to be able to run at top speed not 200kmt,120 miles if the top speed is much faster

That i have to raise pl1 and pl2 + iccmax to values that give me association to something that only an i9 have, has,to avoid edp throttling, current limit i can't (don't like) use a 13600kf, it's extreme compared to a ryzen 7 7700

The CPUs are meant to run with power limits out of the box, that's normal. It is not considered lost performance and for most users they will never notice the difference outside of running benchmarks.

Your i3 is just a really low power CPU anyway, so it never hits a power cap, though it is possible that some i3 CPUs are worse bins and will throttle.

In regards to a 13600KF, in games that CPU will never be anywhere near the cap, so you WILL be getting max performance.

If you don't do any fully multithreaded workloads that run for a long time (e.g. 1 hour), you will never hit the cap, so it is irrelevant to you.

If you're not trying to get 1st place in an overclocking league, just play your games and enjoy it.

Choosing an Intel CPU based on a requirement of no throttling at max load won't get you more performance, it will get you less performance.

im on my 14100f again and have fans i could test on my freezer 36

I notices the base of the freezer 36 is small then the cpu not covering the whole cpu, but i have a contact frame

bigger base on the cooler but no contact frame ?

Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE + Thermalright Heilos Thermal Pad for Intel CPU + thermalgrizzly CPU Contact frame
failed with the front fan do to fans, low profile memory are better but still a problem

rear fans and front fan still a problem i the front and also in the back do to a heatsink
