Max vi form/4770/TG 2.6GHz c10

Which motherboard you gonna opt for out of the two pgi? The gigabyte oc was one i had initially considered before opting for the formula. Id say it's a binned cpu, definitely wont be delidded as ocuk wont sell the chips like this.

Delidding and naked mounting seems to be the best way with hw. On air here, yet to oc but temps while playing bf3 were maxing at 57c. 4.5/6ghz though ill be happy enough, benched this setup with 3dm11 the other night. Stock cpu and same gpu clocks, managed a better score than i did with the 3770k @4.2ghz

im surprised you didn't test it first to see how well/poor it clocked

then delidded it?

seems around 1.25v -1.3v are the decent clocking chips

I perhaps should but i took the risk, i dont like sending things back that work as they should, we all know the risk in the silicone lottery and i'd rather sell it on at my cost not ocuk's, they have been good to me and i want to keep it that way.

how you finding the Formula?

Topman :)

Your prezzie is wrapped ready to go :D

A firm believer in this kind of attitude. I even feel like **** if I have to DSR something that came with freebies that I'd already used :(

4.6ghz bundle ordered on a Gigabyte Z87X-OC with an EK Supremacy waterblock.

A shame the only option is to come with Kingston 1866mhz CL11 junk, guess I'll stick my head into CS and see if they can swap it out for some of the TG 2600 CL10 stuff :)

Ooo thx neil, cant wait, but will only be able to use about 0.02v until i can get blocks :(

Wonder if they would sell a chip on its own??
You will have a lot of fun tweaking paul, so many ways of doing things, shame there a small furnace.

Had my ram running at 2700 c10 tight, took about 2 clicks in bios, too busy playing with gfx :D got my cpu running 4.57 but the requires 1.41v  temps are fine though for benching

Damn that's lots of volts!!

Can't wait to get this bundle, if I can keep it cool with the ihs on to 4.7-4.8 hopefully see the magic 5 when naked :D

You fancy giving it the once over before they send me it 8 pack?;)

See what you can do with c11, might manage north of 2800mhz!

As for the chip on its own you'd have to ask cs, a rough calculation values the chip in the bundle around £320-330.

I shall ask tomorrow, you never know.
I shall have a play with the sticks tomorrow whilst waiting for new monitor to arrive. Unfortunately memtweakit does not work with haswell, so its gotta be done in the bios which is a pita.
Know anywhere that make rad boxes???

LD, Dimastech, caselabs and mountain mods all make 'pedestals' which is essentially a rad box.

What size radiator are you looking to use?

I've never quite trusted software tweaking tools, though don't ROG boards have the 'connect' feature that allow you to control the bios on the fly via a laptop? Sure I've seen the big man using it on some of his LN2 runs :)

Yeah never used it though. Good thing about memtweakit is you can alter/tweak in os and test and if it fails, pc reboots from original bios settings, no clearing cmos!! Or boot looping, its fantastic piece of software.

Not sure on rads, all i know is that i cant get enough in my case too cool my gpu's, they run a lot hotter than the 7970 ltg's

If I can't shift the case+radiator combo in my sale thread by the time my Enthoo arrives I'll have a 1080+4x180 plate+feet going spare mate...

No room to drop a 240 in the bottom? or get the fans in the grill between the front mesh and case and put a ~35-45mm thick 360 in the front?

240+360+120 should easily be enough for CPU and dual cards, thats 240 worth per component, just make sure to pair it all up with some good fans.

Thats the spirit :D

A tight fit but can be done, its what stopped me buying the case, the fact I wouldn't manage a pair of 280 SR-1's with a 360 SR-1 in the front, slimmer radiators would be fine but I have an SR1 fetish atm :o

Simple Bin 1.3v core volts. Disable HTT. DDR1600 9-9-9-28 1T. All other voltages stock. CPU Ratio 50 does it boot windows. Yes!!! Great CPU. 4.9-4.8 OK CPU. Less JUNK!!! Done. 5.0ghz 1.25v top 3-4%, 5.0ghz 1.225v top 1%. The 1.25v are 6.4+ LN2 in my experience the 1.225 are 6.5+ LN2.
