Maxtor, anybody had to rma since seagate bought them?

I had a Maxtor RMA'd not long ago. They simply sent me a replacement (refurbed but perfect) drive out, and I posted my drive back in the same box. If I didn't post the knackered drive, they would charge me.

Don't know if the routine has changed much in the last couple of months, but I didn't have any problems. However, this could have been before they migrated to Seagates system - can't remeber!

Sounds like you did the Advance RMA where you give them credit card details, I did the same thing a few years back. I couldnt do it this time around tho :(
