Also im still surprised that this utterly pathetic and ridiculous thread is still open:confused:...surely its served its purpose ie to actively antagonise the muslim members here.

Why??? what is it to you if i am??...for the record im not but what difference does it make to you if i am??.

Im not that offended tbh, takes a lot more than this to offend me...i just find it sad and pathetic in all honesty that people feel the need to actively insult others...

That isnt what the actual ideal of freedom of speech is meant to be relating to in this event though.

Lots of people think that the event exists because people want to purposefully offend Muslims, when it doesnt. The reason why it exists is because non offensive and purely critical depiction of Islam in western culture has led to such an outrage, killings and attacks against the people drawing the cartoons.

I hear critisism towards Athiesm all the time, but being called a criminal scum with no sense of morality (which I'm not) doesnt offend me to the point that I want to go and kill the people saying those things, there is also plenty of mockery towards christianity in southpark, family guy and the simpsons, but you dont see Christians complaining. Then you do the same thing about Islam and suddenly its offensive, wrong, should never have been allowed, and people start getting attacked and killed.

Im one of those people who will purposefully respond to that by pushing them further and supporting the creation of more such cartoons, regardless of how much they or anyone else oppose to it. If I were to ever be killed over it, I would be shouting blasphemy and insulting religion as much as I could until I got killed.

The longer it goes on the more credibility the original point loses.

The original point was completely valid - such a pathetic reaction to somebody from another faith daring to draw something you find special is abhorrent and ridiculous.

But posting pictures of pigs doing bizarre things, etc etc? Seriously? It's just moving into a 'less **** the Muslims off' thread. It'll be remembered as that and not for the original message :(

And you've never heard of how much the Pope and other Christian figures are mocked and laughed at over accustions of pedophillia?

The Muslims who do get ****ed off and complain dont even care one bit for the content of the cartoon. All it takes for them to go mad is to hear about anything at all that depicts their prophet or religion, regardless of the content is offensive or not.

Yes, I'm that evil. But she genuinely believes that some magical 'babas' in India can heal blind people, cure cancer, and make people in wheelchairs walk again ...... Kind of like no wonder why I ended up so anti religion and couldnt believe a word of it.

No its called a lack of respect...but if thats how you see your mum then good for you...i would never ever ever call my mum a bigot or crazy because of her religious beliefs no matter whether i agreed with them or not...but whatever works in your family....
 
spawn i think its time to leave them to it . they dont care about freedom of speech they just turned it into islam bashing.

they would not create facebook pages to insult any other religion. *gets reay for ' they dont care speech*

how do you know they wont react when you have not created one.

anway pakistan banned facebook and youtube which was good of them and the lady who started all of this apologised.

couple of people in this thread my respect went up for especially dmpoole.

There are no laws whatsoever against drawing children, naked or otherwise. No laws against taking pictures of naked children either.

Hehe tbh mate it doesnt bother me...i find it amusing to see some of the comments in here...usually by the same people who know nothing about Islam as a whole.

Anyhow its been a real eye opener with regards to some peoples behaviour in here...
