Mine was stripped down for a full respray last year, no evidence of the tin worm. Which was nice.

My mk2 has slowly started showing surface rust on the rear quarter panel, driver side wing and slightly on bumper. over the 2 years of ownership It's certainly showing its age and abuse on the road as I daily drive mine.

What was the year/colour/plate? I'm quite surprised my mk1 3 hasn't sold since I passed it onto a dealer earlier this year though last time I found the for sale ad it was £7k

Just a smidge under £3k, didn't include door shuts. But then I was respraying the same colour so didn't need too.

All body panels removed, doorhandles, roof strips, lights etc.

I've been quoted £3k. With a bunch of dents fixing. Mk2 3 stage pearl white
Not having the roof painted though, I'll be re wrapping that in Matt Sparkle Black again.

It feels silly to be spending such an amount on a car worth just over double that, but I don't think I'll be selling up any time soon.

Yes it is silly to spend that much! But we do crazy things for cars we like.

Mine is currently having a CST4 fitted, catted DP and getting mapped by Justin Heath. Am super excited to get her back.
