McCanns going too far?

Great retort  .

If he's gonna whine like a baby i thought i'd respond on his level.

People are always saying 'imagine if you were the mccanns, would you be doing the same'?

Well, imagine instead you are a different family. One in which has lost their child and is doing everything in their power to find him/her. Only the media dont care, there was a tiny column in your local newspaper 3 weeks ago and all you can do is pin up posters on the streets. What have they done, why do they deserve special treatment over the families of other missing children.

Except neglecting to look after their daughter properly in the first place of course.

That's a fair point, and i wasn't suggesting anything otherwise..just asking Fox that while the media attention they are getting outrages his so much when other children are missing what it is he's doing about it.

How would you feel if your child was missing and while the media were crying over Madeline your child was laying dead in a gutter.

EXACTLY how I feel. Tried&Tested, stop trying to pull on peoples heart strings. It's very tragic but the way all this has been handled is completely unfair and unjust.

And what did it acheive? Absolutely nothing. She's still missing despite 2 months of ridiculous hysteria.

While i appreciate your cutting honesty, what's wrong with them having some hope she will be found?

There is hope she can be found, and jetting around the Continent on private jets whilst releasing pop singles.

Can't you see the difference?

Ah great - lets just give up on abducted children cos TW Fox doesn't want to see it on the news. How selfish is that?

No, lets not have quite so much about Maddy to the detriment of other abducted children.

There are world disasters involving the deaths of hundreds of people that received less media coverage than one kid with irresponsible parents.

She`s dead, time they ACCEPTED it and moved on.

I think this post is a perfect example of what all this press interest has done.

Rather than everyone thinking "how awful... I really feel for the parents" people are now saying, "shut up and get over it". I actually don't have much sympathy for them. I wish they'd just naff off.

1.) Nobody knows of her well being apart from her captors.

2.) They'll move on when they're ready, not when you're ready.

They should quit spinning the UK media, but when they give up on thinking she's still alive and put this all behind them is entirely up to them, not you.

Funny cos I could have sworn last nights news was all about that kid abducted in Nigeria, not Maddy. But hey I guess those parents are irresponsible too huh?

No, people with any ounce of decency aren't saying that...just a few people on these forums. The same ones that always do when threads like this are started, yourself included. Your continued efforts are quite commendable.

The difference here, without sounding too harsh to those involved in whatever disasters you're referring to, is that something might still be able to be done to help Maddie.

The nigerian child was snatched as the car was sat in traffic by someone who broke the window. The parents would only have been equally irresponsible if they'd left the child unattended in the car somewhere.

I made that statement as a result of talking to people in real life about it, not on these forums.

Yeah people with the same cold, insensitive and selfish mindset as YOU  Luckily they are few and far between.

Ahh but they could have done much more to protect their child. Who exactly was driving the car at the time, given the nature of Port Harcourt should they have spent some of their "danger money" on armed guards for their child. Some will argue that they are irresponsible parents - especially if they don't just quietly disappear into media obscurity so that TW Fox can watch the news in peace.

Why is everyone so keen to excuse the behaviour of the McCanns by irrelevant comparisons and saturation media coverage...
