McCanns going too far?

The problem is that my hand and finger have a mind of its own and would still click regardless. Im not suppose to type this statement but my hands and fingers got the getter of me. ;)

The reality seems to be that you're not so bright and that your hand and finger are the only part of you that have a mind.

If you don't want to read about something, don't click on the link. It's a subject that remains topical whether you like it or not.

Haha. The joke is really on you. :)

How often do you hear of children being taken from inside their home when the parents are around?

Last time I'm aware of it happening in the UK was last year: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/tyne/4563716.stm

Not saying that the McCann's didn't make a mistake, but imo its totally out of order blaming them for this. The abducter (and lets be honest, it was an abduction) is the only one to blame.

Im with you on this one ElRazur, and i got flamed for pointing it out last time as well. I was waiting for somebody to say it just so i could get a laugh at the people flaming 'Omg you dont like eet dont clik eet!' Those people are cool.

Hilarious

We're just trying to instill some common sense into you.

People taking part in this discussion clearly want to talk about it. What makes you think we actually care you don't?

I agree that they are not solely to blame. But to absolve them fully of responsibility is naivety itself, something the media has successfully managed to brainwash the majority of the public with.

You're right, of course it is. Now I feel like a fool, etc.

Look man, chillax and get a grip. Dont you honestly feel that this whole girl-gone-missing-thing is slightly OTT? :) And people who see this and notice should be able to say so?

According to the Guardian online, Madeline McCanns parents are considering releasing a cover version of Bryan Adams song "Everything I do, I do it for you":

Am I the only one who thinks this desperate crusade has gone just a little too far now?

Whilst feeling sorry for them, I'm really tired of seeing this in the news now. The only bit of McCann news I'm interested in now is they've found her.

Sounds like their out to make money for themselves tbh.

Or they want to be celebs.

How can someone who "cares so much" about their kids leave them on their own whilst they have a meal out ?

Via the windows, turned out to be some sort of family member or something iirc.
Was the same tactic used this time? I can't remember...

Prime suspect: ?

How can you say without a shadow of a doubt it was an abduction?

And if it was how did the abductor get it? Surely the door was locked.

If there was an abduction why did the abductor only take 1 out of the 3 children?

Would she have been abducted if the parents were there?

In my opinion Maddy would not have gone missing if her parents were supervising her or if they had gotten a responsible, accountable person to look after their children in their absence.

The fact is young children should not be left unattended and any manner of things could have happened to them. So the responsibility has to lie with the parents if they demonstrated that they were not acting responsibility.

It bored me then and still bores me now. Sounds quite cold, but I really don't care about it all. Like nobody really cares about the 30,000 children a day that die in Africa - what makes this one different? Oh right, she's white and has wealthy parents.

Why do people call her Maddy? Do you know her, personally? Her name is Madeline.

The parents are at fault. End of chat. See, if they hadn't left three children of such a young age to go out with their friends then Madeline would have been still with them. The probability of an abductor walking in the vila when the parents where at home is negligible.

So instead of doing a dignified search and then grieving for her they pull this *******

Had they have been working class parents the media would have torn them to shreds. Had Madeline been killed in a fire or some other kind of accident whilst unsupervised there would have been a brief media backlash...in both cases the media attention would not have lasted this long.

Yes it is sad that she has been taken. Other than that I don't give a flying **** as there are more things in the world that I and other people need to worry about.

Nope, I totally agree. I heard in the news that they were releasing yellow balloons in 40 cities around the world today... why?

Yes, it's terrible for them, but it's not an international tragedy.

Why but why do they need a fund. do the taxes not pay for the police i just cant stand these people and there milking it so much its unreal. yeh yeh there kid has gone missing. but it was there fault

Remember: One blonde white middle class girl is worth 100,000 African children

Hundreds of thousands die because they are forced to live appalling conditions and hundreds die in wars, yet people seem to think one girl is more important than the thousands...
