McCanns going too far?

Give it a few more weeks, and Paul McCartney might re-release Yesterday. Better yet, see if Elton John can knock up Candle in the Wind 2!

This media stuff in relation to such a tragic event makes me ill, and only goes to cheapen the whole dreadful situation.

Wouldnt that technically be candle in the wind 3?

I think I'm going to be quite blatent in my view on this whole saga. It is really annoying me and I don't see why there should be so much attention on one little girl being missing. Put into perspective things like this happen all the time. There are far greater problems than one little girl being missing.

Why do people raise £750k at a whim for a plight which is very unlikely to see a conclusion when comparitivly speaking there are 1000's of children dying around the world due to problems which can be sorted? And why is the media so interested in this one case of a child going missing when there are children going missing all the time.

This may seem an insensitive view to have and if it was my child missing I would try and do as much as I could but what they're doing is going too far.

You talk like your privy to the details of the police investigation which your not.

Explain to me why I should not suspect him? It's not as though you and I know him personally. All I have to go off is what I see on the news and read about in the papers. Just because you don't have the evidence to implicate someone does not mean you cannot suspect them of a crime. And based on the circumstances and evidence I have at my disposal then I am entitled to hold an opinion that I think he has something to do with it.

Now unless you are privy to information that the rest of us are not then my opinion on the matter is equally valid as yours. However when all you come out with is in reply to my opinion is that is drivel then don't get upset when I say that you talk BS.

If you 'think' he did it, fine, whatever, that's your guess.

But yes, I'm sorry, in order for him to be a suspect, evidence needs to be there. Until then he's as likely a culprit as the Mother, or the other family members, or a police officer, or Father Ted.

If you actually read my post that was all I ever said it was.

Oh, and by the way, it couldn't have been Father Ted. He is dead.

Could we do an Ocuk song for them? I would do the rap lines.

I think you would be good at it. Most rappers cant spell, and usually are not Grammatically correct either.

I think its going abit too far. What about the hundreds of children which go missing each year?

So i would be good because i suck at english? Oh great! Am flattered. You should listen to me freestyle. Not to take this OT but if language is a means of communication and you understand what am saying, does it really matter if i make errors in the process of wirting it out?

Yes the whole thing is going too far but as a parent too, I kinda see where they are coming from BUT it is bodering going too far now. As for the hundreds of kids dying daily in africa, am sorry but that is just the way things are over there! Until africans have their head screwed on then many more would die.

Heh - there's a scandal going on in China at the moment where something like 800 children have been abducted and forced to work as slaves at brick kilns (no doubt we buy the bricks  ). Anyway, a clip has just been shown of some parents wandering round a provincial town somewhere in China with pictures of their abducted children, along comes a local communist party official who starts having a go at the parents saying "you should have taken better care of your kids". I hope the OCUK community is proud...

Look man, chillax and get a grip. Dont you honestly feel that this whole girl-gone-missing-thing is slightly OTT? :) And people who see this and notice should be able to say so?

How is it over the top? They want to get their child back if they can and they are trying everything in their power to do so. Who cares if it irritates you, your problems are nothing compared to theirs. If they weren't at fault would it still bother you?

So every time you buy something you make sure it wasn't made by poor Chinese kids? Behave. I think it's good for them anyway, builds up some moral fiber ;) There are worse things than working for a living you know.

It's only gotten this much exposure cause it was a pretty little white girl from a middle-class family. Can you imagine if it was the daughter of an Ethiopian crack whore, would they care so much then? I'm all for "bringing Maddie home" but I feel it's important to point out the inequality that exists with missing people.

Um. What does the 'OcUK community' have to do with all that
