McCleish gone

I'm really hoping we manage to get him on board.

Lots of people are saying it's a risk, maybe it is, more so than Lambert would have been but the main reason we're all excited at the prospect of OGS is that the guy has his teams play attractive, attacking football.

After enduring a season of the worst anti-football under AM I've ever seen in my life it's going to be a breath of fresh air.

That's a good watch, he talks about how he wants his teams to play etc, what he models himself on etc. It also has a lot of personal stuff.

I watched it a while back and it's why I'm quite surprised that he's looking likely to go to Villa, as it's clear that he loves Molde a lot.

Also merlin, you may want to remove the link as it has a swear word in ;)

Watched that doc yesterday that is what has made me excited about this!

Also the SHOOT video too ;) :p

I think he'd do great at Villa. Get rid of some of the dead wood they have and he'll do well.

Thanks for the link. Great watch. Really enjoed it. Looks like it's going to be a really difficult decision for him to leave Norway. Wish him all the best if he does end up at Villa.

Ok so going from reading posts on RedCaf in the Solskjaer thread, things have got a bit mental for Molde. (thread: http://www.redcafe.net/f6/solskjaer-233186/index9.html)

One of the main people that own Molde have put this up: http://fotball.rbnett.no/multimedia/archive/00164/1205_Aker_og_Molde__164428a.pdf (put into http://translate.google.com/ to read.)

Basically saying that because Ole didn't answer three questions before leaving for England:

1) Are you planning to leave the current Premier League season?
2) Would you take part of the support?
3) Would you take with you some of MFKs squad over time?

It's all gone a bit mental and they are withdrawing their investment, which is quite a bit and the guy involved is one of their main men I think.

Ole's a great guy and an absolute legend, it'll be great to see him back in the Prem. I'll certainly be rooting for him if he does take over at Villa.

Ole is having a press conference at the moment and apparently the club and him have agreed that he will being staying at Molde and there will be no change in his contract.

Could be possible, But then he could be playing it down. It has gone crazy over there since this story broke out. He's not going to come out & say he's leaving right now.

There is still more to this imo.

He hasn't been offered anything from Villa apparently, no contract or anything, it was just initial talks that he felt out of respect that he should go to - he said that he's been approached by other clubs in the EPL/Champs League before this and just said no straight away but felt that he should talk to Villa as they were a big club.

If he's to get an offer I think it's been said that he will sit down with Molde and discuss it, but has said that he has plans to stay at Molde.

Apparently in the press conference it was also said that he did answer those three questions yesterday. Seems as if the owner/director chap went totally over the top.

I can't see him going to Villa anyway, it's clear he loves Molde really.
