Dinlage, who has pretty much been the only dwarf cast in any major TV or film productions in the last 10+ years. Gotta corner that market and not let any competition in.

It's to do with Disney's decisions over time, and what the underlying reasons might mean for the future of the franchises they own.

I can see the issues remaking this and, TBH, Disney should have stayed away because you just know the film is going to upset at least one demographic no matter what they do. Cast actual little people and Disney get accused of making fun of them or taking advantage of them for profit. Cast real people and be accused of ignoring little people actors. Use CGI and get accused of the same thing. TBH this film is on a hiding to nothing.

We knew the script was bad after rumors earlier he had threatened to walk and the release date was pushed back a year, but the above rumors.. even im surprised at how, much of a joke marvel are!!!

Mind you some in this thread would have loved that movie and thought it was great

Jesus! That seems like a lot, but then I guess thinking about these 2.5 hour movies costing 200/300 million, 25 mill seems low in comparison, and over all you usually get what, 4/8 hours per season of content?

A 200 million dollar film is expensive and can be tricky to make a profit from. A tv series approaching the same cost per minute as the most expensive films that are struggling to make a profit is not good or sustainable.
