So basically any uploading website will get taken down? What about YouTube due to all the TV series and programs they have, what about other hosting sites like image, video, sound hosting? Are they are going to be taken down as well?

all the chinese ones wont get touched it just takes money from the west and gives it to markets that dont pander to the movie and music industry

There will be other websites that will openup again like Mega upload. Always the case.

I believe it had some facilities in America , which is where the owner was living.

I can see this being messy, if the internet is really getting de-junked and sites being taken offline. Depending on what sites they pull down, they need to tread carefully.

As a side note I think YouTube has a deal with people like channel 4 to host all it's shows.
