Men, do you like to measure things?

Only just got this. I spent too much time with Americans so thought it was a crap joke about being a chef or something, measuring ingredients.

Boobs. You meant boobs.

I did indeed mean those dastardly chesticles.

It was still a crap joke though so you're on the right train of thought.

Every now and then I randomly get the urge to measure the dimensions of the rooms in my flat. Do you like to measure / quantify things?

Insert any jokes you'd like below.

"He said insert", fnar fnar.

P.S. I am not drunk.

For no apparent reason For no apparent reason???

I guess I measure a lot of cabbage if weights count....
And cucumber...... I love my job even tho it's the dumbest thing I've done in my life. Lol

Whipped out the old tape measure last night to confirm that a single "supplied in-box" M8x40 bolt for some shelving was actually the right length, as it looked a bit short. It was not, it was an M8x30, the robbing gits!

I stepped on the property ladder last year, and have been busy furnishing it basically from scratch. I have an app where you can basically add measurement annotations to it, and I went a bit overboard with it. I measured up everything, just in case I went out shopping and saw some organiser or drawer that happend to fit a gap. Kitchen cupboards and drawers, the cabinet under my shelf, nooks and crannies for potential side tables, gaps under sinks...

We got our old house back from tenants last week so the wife and i travelled back up to Norfolk on the weekend to do some serious cleaning/decontamination.

I measured all the bedrooms but didn't do the rest of the rooms :( I'm trying to design a new kitchen and bathroom but without the proper room dimensions its proving a tad difficult.

That's a "Dull Mans Fun" post if there ever was one.

I take pictures of my herbs and spice cupboard periodically ;)

I’ve got a very unique tape measure for measuring my manhood.

if you've not got one already, a bluetooth enabled laser measure is very handy..
it lets you measure and enters the results direct into apps.

Sorry that's not helping is it?;)

More seriously the laser measure and self levelling laser levels* are some of the most helpful bits of tech in my toolbox for decorating and diy as they save so much time especially over longer lengths.

*I've ended up with 3, the newest has a lengthy poll that means you an position it in the middle of the room and get a mark most of the way round, very handy for hanging things like pictures on multiple walls, or putting up shelving/cupboards on multiple walls.
