Men using sun beds

I don't use sunbeds but there is nothing wrong with it. We have crap weather, it is just like sunbathing basically. Is everyone who sunbathes gay?

Or are all the pasty white people who cant get a GF gay?

Ask them i recon theres a fair few strutting their manliness in this thread ;)

checked with my brother (who is gay), and he has never used a sunbed...
checked with a few of the guys i used to go on drinking holidays with (all very straight) and they have used them.

i think the gay theory is looking pretty thin lol

Lots of nerds telling you it's gay but you can make your own mind up mate.

Why not give it a try, that's what the 5 free minutes is for.

Exactly, do what you want :) It's far worse to get sunburn out sunbathing than just going on a sunbed occasionally for a few mins in terms of cancer risk. Plus you are not going to damage your skin from just one or two sessions. Those people with the leathery skin have been doing it for years nearly every day.
Probably have less than 5 mins though on a first session unless you have medium/easy to tan skin.
Some people hate it, some people like it, just see what you think :)

Ive always wondered why it makes you smell so funny though, as if your skin is being cooked. Slow for sure, because remember half a days sun in 10mins isnt a great idea. You need at least 2 days between visits.

It's artificially changing your skin tone. It's pretty vain if you ask me, in the same realms as wearing make-up to cover up blemishes.

The UK has decent summers, it's possible to get a healthy looking tan during the summer months by simply going outside. Walking around looking like a leather glove left out in the sun during the middle of winter makes you look a pleb.

It's as gay as the day is long and gives you horrible skin. You can tell which slappers frequently use sun-beds. They have a 'nice' brown, leather like face. Yes, very attractive!

Use a fake tan if you're so worried about the colour of your skin.

How do you know they're nerds? Because they post on a hardware forum? Following that logic, you're also a nerd?

Apparantly:

"Contrary to what the uninformed think ("Is it burning skin?!), it is a natural occurrence. Aside from producing a cosmetic tan, indoor tanning units produce heat and generally cause many indoor tanners to perspire. During perspiration, a protein is secreted. Bacteria that live in and on our skin eat away at this protein, which produces an odor. In addition, every person has a unique body chemistry that can be influenced by diet and hormones. A combination of personal hygiene habits, perfumes and lotions also may play a role in producing the "after-tan" smell. Perspiration also may have an ammonia-like smell."

Wearing make-up is vain? I suppose half the population must be guilty then. If I have a choice on whether to use concealer or not I'm going to do it aren't I?
Caring about your appearance is an attribute in my eyes, although I will agree there is a line that can be drawn :p

It is a form of vanity, you care about your appearance so you show a degree of vanity. I'd agree though that it depends on the level, almost everyone cares to some degree about their appearance so almost everyone is vain to a point. If a man wears moisturiser then I think him vainer than I, because I don't use moisturiser - a bit like the old quote "an narcissist is someone who looks better than you". :p

women like tanned bodys of men thus follow this excuse to win.

tanned body = hot women = dirty nasty sex!

pasty skinned boys = internet porn = your hand!

Aren't you a woman? Wearing make-up if you're a woman isn't as vain as if it's a man. Any man who disagrees, is not a man.

Blokes wearing make up is worse than being gay, more like a crossdresser.
Still I guess the millions the cosmetic corporations have pumped in advertising it makes sense that men are the next target group. They'll probably try to sell tampons to blokes next.
