Thats pretty good, my stock speed, auto fan sli 275's were a fair bit warmer than that, hence why i usually ran the fans manually at 70-75%. Not too fussed about noise as my ns 1000 nc headphones block out all fan noises from the system.

Not much need for overclocking when running two 470's, cant sse many games making them struggle.

How much faster is it over my 4870 1gb @ 1920 x 1200. I feel i should really wait till i do a new rebuild, but its just so tempting

Haha I was about to ask the same thing, with the same card! Has anyone had any history of fitting a http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-002-GD to one and what was the cooling like compared to the stock one (Thinking about going for the OCuK one)

The noise / heat issue with the OCUK Value 470 bothers me so I'd be after a better cooling solution too. The Gelid cooler looks good, but that's another £37.
If the fancy Gigabyte 470 SOC (great card which is pre-overclocked, better cooler etc) was £200 I'd snap it up, but at £235 it's looking a little overpriced compared to the OCUK Value 470 which is currently £165... Very nearly bought the SOC yesterday but I'll wait to see if the price comes down.

At that price, it's making me wonder whether to go for it over the OCuK one.. Think it's worth the extra £20 for the voltage tweak add on?

Volt tweak is a scam, just use MSI afterburner for the same effect, mind you, you get three years warranty with the Asus.

Would I get a significant performance increase if moving from xfired 4850 1gb running with a mild overclocks to a 470?

Well I ended up taking the plunge and went for the gigabyte one! Going from my trusty 4870 1gb to one of these
Just want to say thx overclockers got my 3rd gtx 470 and waiting for my enermax 1250watt psu today. cant wait to connect to my 3x 27 inch monitors. will post some scores later when i get it up and running.
cost me £510.00 for 3 cards when i sold the vouchers.
and that was for 3x gainward good edition twin fan cards.

Just bought a Gigabyte OC after seeing the Gainward's price back up. I really wanted that non-reference cooler, but I don't see it being worth an extra £25.

ONLY MSI and Gigabyte left at these price levels now, come Monday pricing will go up at least £10 and in some cases as much as £20 and I can't see them ever been this cheap again.
This is simply because NVIDIA have realised the GTX 470 is more than a match for the 6870 with more features and as such its really a £200 card, not a £165-£175 card.
