This year's wing looks identical to the one they were racing in Brazil 2011 - not the launch dummy wing.

If you look back at the Brawn the elements look virtually identical. I suspect we will see the W-duct surface on the last day of testing this season and then it will be game on

why does the front wing endplates seem to be reinforced with metal

Thats fairly normal to have skidplates. They are pretty large though.

But that is the most hideous nose in F1 at the moment. Abysmal.

Kerbs, tbh. The chicane at the end of the lap has some of the highest of any F1 track.

Not a massive fan of the looks of this and most other cars but hopefully they can recapture some of the Brawn magic and challenge the top 3.

Yup. Normally on the underside of the endplate though rather than being a solid chunk in the endplate.

Is it just me or is the nose of the merc slightly sloping upwards (when seen from side ) rather than downwards ?

Not enough people or money for that to happen now. I'm starting to think they will re-evaluate their position in F1 once all the Mclaren payments are made and spent. I understand why they felt they could just stay with Mclaren with Mclaren car building but I fear this is going to end up another BMW.

Such a shame about these noses, they need banning like the X wings purely because they are hideous.
