Metal Gear Solid 4 is coming to the Xbox 360. This is not a rumor. This is straight from a Konami distribution representative’s mouth. The game is already in production and has been since early 2007. Complete details after the jump:

No, the rep will not be named, but this is pretty concrete. Speaking to a Konami rep at an undisclosed distribution meeting, I was told, after a lot of nagging, that yes indeed MGS was in development for the 360. The rep stated that Metal Gear Solid will be released for the Xbox 360 between 12 to 14 months after the PS3 version hits shelves. This is not a rumor

I don't think people are expecting it to ever NOT appear on Xbox360, I believe all the doubt was in release to a simultaneous release.

Either way I'm not too bothered, whilst I want to play it I genuinely think that it doesn't look that good.
 
^FF series will suck if they carry on the way they did with number 12 :(

but when this comes from horses mouth i'll belive. :)
 
What a depressing piece of news to wake up to.
While I don't mind that it's going on 360, I'll really hate all the extra fanboy talk this will create.
 
Yeah saw this "news" this morning elsewhere and the site was a flame heaven in minutes lol. I wonder how many times this game has to confirmed PS3 only by Kojima, Ryan Peyton, etc only for a bit later some one high up in konami to say its coming out for the 360 at some point. Maybe a cutdown 360 version will come out or a full version on several DVDs who knows for sure, or perhaps a bit like Orange Box on the PS3 it will be developed by someone else rather than kojima productions?the truth is out there lol.
 
Well the precedent is there. MGS2 came out for Xbox, so this is a possibility. Well, there's certainly more chance of this happening than FFXIII coming out for 360.
 
I can't believe anyone is taking this seriously. Without anything official any Tom Dick or Harry could make this up and post it on the internet. IF this comes out on 360 it'll be years, Sony will have made sure of that i.e. big cash deposit in konamis bank account.
 
After watching the E3 trailer (I think it was that one, the long trailer on PSN anyway) I was absolutely blown away by this and cannot wait to play it, it looks frapping amazing!

However, I honestly believe this will make it to the 360, not right away though, probably 6 months to a year but it will come to 360 imo.
 
I believe MGS was bettered by Spinter Cell for Stealth and other games for action. Hopefully it will get a good balance.
I am very disappointed with what I've seen graphically though.
 
I'm confused as to why the 360 version would be "in development" when most developers now know that it's a fairly smooth process to port a PS3 game over to 360 (ie. Burnout Paradise) and get near identical results.

Sounds like BS to me.
 
how the hell will they fit a game thats ment to be using the whole 50gb on blu ray onto a dvd9?

This is the only reason i would ever buy a PS3 (even though i used t ohave one :p), so hopefully it will come out.

Imo MGS is much more focused on a good story, but with good gamepaly to back it up, and thats why i like it so much. I sold Any splinter cell game i bought because they were boring lol.
