Metallica to play Wembley!

Yep... I'll go to the one I already have tickets for :) Seriously though, I'd still choose T in the Park over Metallica, I've seen them 4 times before... Though if they're going to do the whole MoP runthrough, that's something I've not, and I'd love to see...

Aye, the noise that Cannibal Corpse crowd make is far better.
I didn't know comparing two completely different types of Metal was a fair thing to do. (Or smart for that matter)

Least the music Cannibal Corpse have made recently has been just as good if not better than their older stuff.

I thought everyone knew Metallica went downhill over the years? ;)

o there not that bad yes the new album is not there best and yea they kinda went downhill but there new bass player can realy play

Seen them live when they were in the uk last time

I reckon Metallica are about as good live today as they were when I first saw them in... 95? I know some'd say they were past it by then, but then it's the internet, you can find people who say anything. Not a fan of the recent albums but you're not going to the gig to listen to the albums are you? Some of the St Anger stuff is actually decent live, when seperated out from the production job from hell.

Plus, whole of Master of Puppets played live, according to the band. Can't be bad, that.

Live doesnt get much better than Metallica tbh but their last few studio efforts have destroyed them. Sadly James needs to hit the bottle again if we are to see another Master of puppets....not gunna happen really.

Almost as "smart" as calling a band crap which arguably has the largest metal following going.

Past their best? Probably. Currently lacking in direction? Maybe. Crap? Lets not be silly.

Hehe, its opinion. Regardless of if YOU dont like them, millions do, they have one of the largest followings in Metal history, have written many classics, and are well reputed for being awesome performers. Like Iron Maiden, a lot of bands are compared to them, and you may not like them, but you cant deny thier place in metal history :)

I agree thier latest album was the worst, but hey, NO ONE can produce grade A* stuff all the time. :)

One man's treasure is another man's trash and all that, Im sure there are many people who might consider you silly, and feel the same way about Cannibal Corpse compared to Metallica. Either way you look at it, they're not legends for nothing.

-PS Anyone have any idea what set they're playing this time round? :)

I'm at a similar number of times seeing them and they are brilliant. Only band I really go out of my way to see. St Anger best they've done since Puppets, not sure I agree but I sure as hell don't rate it as badly as some on here do and I listen too it a lot as I think is a very good album.
