Metro Awakening release date

It's up for pre-order for £34.99 which is fairly expensive for a VR game. Will wait for the reviews, but if they're good it's an instant purchase.

I asked about playing seated once before, but the general consensus was that you couldn't.

I'll do some reading. Thanks

It's not ideal, but it's usually doable. Regardless, it should give you an idea of how much room is essential. Standing on place is better, having room to step side to side a bit better still etc.

Seated is an option in many VR games, and it can be essential for some people who are unable to stand or find standing for long periods difficult.

There's even an option in the Meta accessibility settings to adjust your height so you can play standing games seated.

I play using the standing boundary in my attic. That gives me enough room to play games with thumbstick locomotion.

Some games like No Mans Sky I play seated as you're often sitting in vehicles and can be playing for long periods.

ive played all three. Exodus was a joy to play throughout really. The earlier two had parts that were quite irritating, and a few annoying bugs, but nothing to stop me finishing them.

dont have the space for VR though

I enjoyed the first Metro game. The second I hit a game breaking bug 5 hours in and never went back to it. I think I own the third game on Epic but have never installed it.

Definitely interested in this new VR game, but will certainly check reviews before considering purchasing.

PCVR and PSVR2 also. Apparently Crossbuy Quest/PC on the Meta store.
Not sure to get Steam or Meta, as to be honest, I'd much rather play the PC version. I doubt I'd play this standalone.
I'd definitely go with the PC version, if it has enhanced graphics etc.

I know people love steam, but if cross buy, then I do enjoy getting the meta version, being able to play on the move is always nice. Then get the graphics when at home.

The only thing is I trust Steam more than Meta to keep supporting PC VR. Especially as if, say, I was to get a Deckard headset (whenever that arrives) or a Pimax, or Bigscreen or even PSVR2, then I could play it on there.

I have no choice but to play it standalone Q3 after selling my 4090, I have a 2013'ish gt 710m or something in my pc now lol! So it'll be a Meta store purchase for me. Wish it was a Q3 focused game like Batman but also good our Q2/Pro VR buddies can play it without hassle, I'll be using QGO on it straight away for higher res.

Just bought the Steam version, which is way cheaper on that key site. I've compared the Quest 3 and PC versions of the Arizona Sunshine Remake and there's just no comparison - the quest version though pretty good for a native game is still relatively low res and blurry, like most Quest 3 native games are.

I'll be playing this on my Quest Pro for the contrast and colours anyway.

This Reddit thread compares Q3 and PCVR versions in a video (couldn't get the direct video url). The Q3 version looks better than I expected and close to the PCVR version imo but as someone has commented in that thread once it's played in VR the differences will be much more obvious. Still, the Q3 version looks good I think.

The main difference is in lighting and resolution. If you don't have PCVR the Quest 3 version will be great. I prefer a better frame rate and a much sharper image (even if the graphics in themselves aren't hugely better).

It's obvious the game was designed around the Quest limitations, so I don't expect HL Alyx visuals on PC.
