Metro: Exodus [E3 2017]

So it's not quite open world, linear with some very large levels which can be explored at your own pace.

I thought the first two were good but neither scratched that stalker itch. Hopefully this will.

Perfect for me then, dont see why absolutely everything has to be open world these days.

Some of us have very limited time and want a good story driven semi linear game.

Loved the first two metros and was hoping this would be at e3.

Looks good! But hopefully the scripted rubbish seen in the trailer was for the benefit of E3 and stays in the trailer.

That is exactly what i was thinking :)

I did enjoy Both metro games but always loved stalker more so hopefully it will be a good mix of the two.

I wish they would stop doing this giant massive weapons that take up most of the screen rubbish a break at some point drives me mad, so unrealistic and annoying. Lets hope there is a fix for that :)

Ah semi linear, that to me sounds good in honesty. I don't need completely open world. I want great story like the old Metro games, adding in larger level for local exploration and multiple angles to complete objectives as you go though is all good so this is sounding like it is moving the right way.

Was there any suggestion if it ties in to Metro 2035?

Phew I feared we were getting another fully open world game. Glad to hear it's not quite like that. Metro shines in it's atmosphere and that would be lost if we were running round collecting 5 items for a generic side quest every 3 minutes :D

On the other hand Stalker also has great atmosphere and is open world, so it can be made to work if done right. A mix of the two can't go far wrong though.
