Metro Last Light - Thread

At first my game wouldn't load, i uninstalled even deleted the folder too, reinstalled and then it did same so i just clicked on the icon in taskbar then alt tabbed which made it work lol.(did it last time and it didn't)

Does the game load up but just launches oddly? if so the above should work even though it sounds daft and simple.

OVERLAYS MAKE THIS GAME CRASH!

Killed FRAPS and EVGA X and it's all good now!

How do I disable EVGA X Overlay? WIthout EVGA X on my overclocks won't register.

nvm
Go into the Prec properties. Select the OSD tab. Now look for the section that says "On-Screen Display Header Properties". Remove the check mark from the box that says "show on-screen display header". That'll take care of it

The new patch has improved my crossfire a lot.

Before...

Average Framerate: 31.35
Max. Framerate: 94.08 (Frame: 5344)
Min. Framerate: 10.93 (Frame: 3329)

After patch....

Average Framerate: 50.18
Max. Framerate: 121.01 (Frame: 7190)
Min. Framerate: 9.20 (Frame: 5740)

I see no improvements with my 7950 CF clocked @ 960mhz using cat 13.2 beta 7. MLL.exe is 1.0.0.2 So im assuming its the patched version. my avg 30 min 9.89

I had this with Metro 2033 a lot. Does LL have a safe mode?

I found I reduced the number of times that 2033 crashed on me by reducing the texture quality setting down a notch. The game ran smooth with everything max but the crashes started to bug me. I figured maybe it was down to gpu memory being exceeded by the textures. Maybe a bug, bad code in the game or conflict with the graphics drivers, that if the game exceeds gpu memory it just crashes without error. Could this be the case with LL?

It does have a safe mode. When it did not start properly for me it came up.

Does anyone know if the Metro Last Light purchase from Gamersgate includes the Ranger DLC? The cover art for the product page shows limited edition but it says nothing about it in the description.

Why not get it from the place I linked previously? It's cheaper and is for the LE (confirmed as someone redeemed it in Steam and got everything)

Also

Completed the game and I think I got the good ending. All I will say is :(

Thanks 4A and Dimitry for making such a brilliant game, until all the bugs, textures etc are fixed it's a solid 8.5/10. So sad this is the last Metro game, I feel numb just like when Gears of War 3 was the final instalment.

I didn't see your link as it was on the previous page :p. Thanks for the heads up though!

As a matter of fact, do you know what the issue is with Simplygames/SimplyCDkeys? I can go through the Simplygames website and click on view product for Metro Last Light and it redirects me to SimplyCDkeys. Is this the cd key equivalent of simplygames? Seems odd they are operating under a different name for it.

Do you need to have finished 2033 for this to make sense?

I don't think so but it will help you understand the story a lot. Or you can read up about the story on the wikipedia page here. I'm also guessing that Last Light will contain a lot of references to events that happened in Metro 2033 so for all intents and purposes I'd say you will enjoy Last Light more if you understand the back story to it via playing Metro 2033.

No idea sorry, maybe they want to make things easier for those who just want digital keys by operating a separate website.

Also blueshift how do I install SweetFX?

nvm sorted
