Completely linear and nothing new in the gameplay department but that doesn't really matter because this game oozes atmosphere. I found myself having creepy dreams involving tunnels and trains tracks and unseen monsters lurking somewhere just out of sight. Yes I should probably play it less :)

can anyone help???
on the bit where you have the shootout with the guy who knows you, and then the little dark one shares his memories once you've beaten him, how do you forgive that guy after the cutscene when all the hands grab him??

^^

You have to physically walk up to him to free him from the hands that are grabbing him. Hold 'W' or whatever key you have bound for moving forward.

I was sure I had the season pass as well but I re-downloaded LL last night to have a quick go before bed and STEAM reckons I should buy the DLC packs :/

With regards to the first game, I loved the suspense to begin with but then I found it it very linear. Is this similar?

It is very linear however it's a far better game and also extremely creepy with much better areas and short story bits. The only non linear bit is how you take out enemies, do you go in gun fighting or sneak around taking out torches/lights.

I forgot to mention, there are situations where you make the choice of life or death for certain characters as it's only really apparent until much later in the game..... Not sure on the final ending choice as I'm nearly there :)

I think you have to got up to him and interact with him (to pull him out). I just shot him though to put him out of his misery !
