Mexican Grand Prix 2015, Mexico City - Race 17/19

Lol, another one to add to the JeditOjanen crackpot conspiracy theories list!

I wonder if he still thinks McLaren are cheating as they are a partner with TAG, or that Red Bull should be banned from racing at the Austrian GP because they own the track...

If Hamilton is average, I'd love to know who you actually rate.

I don't think he's got the same rawness that made him so dangerous (in a positive sense) when he first arrived in F1, but he's in no way average.

I'm undecided as to whether he's a great... he's beat Rosberg in a dominant car and Massa, which is hardly the biggest challenge, but then Schumacher had some distinctly average team-mates in dominant cars and yet I do rate him as a great. I guess the difference is Schumacher beat some top drivers to his titles (Hakkinen, Raikkonen near his peak for a year I suppose) and I just don't feel Hamilton's done that yet.

None of which is actually there over the season, as the barriers and kerbs are installed after the roads are closed, so it's not like Rosberg has some indepth knowledge of the micro-structure.

I assumed you weren't being serious.

I've never actually been but I thought a lot of the track kerbs, etc were actually left in place.

EDIT: Not that that actually validates any of Jedi's point. I'm pretty sure that Lewis Hamilton would be a faster driver than me around the streets I grew up on.

Hamilton was pushing for the win, no question, which is why he made those mistakes we saw. He was risking it.
Of course he was pushing it, but he was under a very different set of stimuli, which are likely to end with a very different result.
Of course Rosberg is capable of beating Hamilton, he has, and probably will again. However, as others have said, not enough to (yet) beat him to a championship in an equal car.
This suggests Hamilton is the better driver right now.
Things can change. Look at Kimi..

OK maybe average was bit far but he's not 3 times world champion quality if it wasn't for having such a dominant car. Unfortunately it looks like he might have 4 or even 5 titles before he retires. Hopefully Nico will give more of a fight next year if no other team gets closer to merc.

And when he's had a good car he's beaten his team mate three times to win the WDC.

Hamilton is three times WDC quality, because he's won the WDC three times.

But nearly all world champions have the dominant car or something very close, it's what happens in F1 :p. In fact you could argue one of the few times this didn't happen was Hamilton in 2008 (not that the McLaren was a bad car but the Ferrari won 8 races vs the McLaren's 6)

The difference being that Hamilton moved to Monaco about five years ago, while Rosberg has lived there since he was a child and probably learned to drive on the Monaco race route.

Are you seriously comparing driving round the streets to driving round in an f1 car?! Also are you forgetting how Hamilton outpaced rosberg all race?
