While RIcciardo is losing time fast right now he could gain that back through one less stop, if he has to stop again though he's screwed completely.

The RBR cars were always on a 2 stop strategy. Just loaded up front for Ricciardo now.

A lot of that is being stuck behind slower cars rather than being on a slower tire, but as he gets past the slower cars that 2 seconds a lap will change... that is the bet. Once he gets towards 9th or so he'll find bigger gaps, more clear air and more pace.
