Mick McCarthy - FIRED!

Been told that Curbishley has got the job from a very reputable source, he said go back it at the bookies as it's 4-5 odd lol.

I'm a Wolves season ticket holder and I was gutted to see McCarthy get the sack. I think once Morgan felt the need to go into the changing rooms and address the players, it was always on the cards though.

Good to hear Curbishley near enough has the job, he would have been my pick.

I wouldn't say he's necessarily the right man for the job, he's just (in my opinion) the best choice of the available managers.

Steve Bruce is a former Birmingham City manager, which won't go down well at Molineux. With regards to Warnock, I just don't like him. He may be a good enough manager, but he looks too much like a goblin.

It must be slightly concerning if somebody in Curbishley's position has turned you down after initially talking up his interest. I wonder why he's changed his mind.

bit of a wierd one, unless theres something going on behind the scenes that isn't obvious i can't see a reason he'd turn it down

looking in a real mess now if bruce is the most obvious candidate, unless the board have something else in mind.

Warnock's gone to Leeds till the end of the season so that's one down.

Gilly must be thrilled with that one, I think Warnock is pretty close to his most hated person in football, if not overall then he's certainly up there with regard to managers at least.

Bit odd for Wolves though if Alan Curbishley is turning them down.

Diouf is most hated, but Warnock is close behind.

Even if he gets us up I'll want rid, but Warnock usually needs to spend and bates won't have that

bruce turned them down as well...bet they are only offering up till the end of the season

if thats the case i can't see anyone wanting to take the job on.

but surely curbs wouldn't be that bothered if it was just til the end of the season, unless he thinks it would do his reputation more harm than good if they got relegated.

not really seeing anyone else out there that would be up for the job, considering they wanted someone "experienced" ?

It would seem Warnock was offered the Wolves role before joining Leeds. They must be doing their nut.

Ronnie Jepson (who?) has left QPR to join Leeds backroom staff.

Have to disagree, at least when at Reading Doyle and Hunt were perfect players for a team such as Wolves, also O'Hara is of the same mold. You know exactly what your going to get, a lot of hard work, which is exactly what a lower half of the prem team needs.

O'Hara isn't a worker. He's someone that needs to be carried and often pops up with a screamer or a great ball for an assist.

You'll end up with someone like Avram Grant at this rate.

Never has a user name and a statement matched up so well :p

It sounds like every manager has heard the stories off Mick about being undermined, demanded in their contracts that the chairman at all costs does not do it again and caused every manager to walk away...

That or the line is keep us up or OUT! Which is just as useless

Apparently Sky Sports are saying it's Poyet? This is only what I read from someone else who cares, I don't have it myself to see.

I was going to say that I'd probably choose to manage Leeds before Wolves too, but then I remembered who your chairman was. Harsh on Wolves, that.
