Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 announced.

Sim Update 1 beta is available. I didn't bother with these for 2020 but nothing to lose as it stands with this one.

Initial impressions from the forum seem positive, will see for myself this evening.

There's also a new DLSS version available via DLSS Swapper which some are very enthusiastic about, particularly in VR.

That's good, if I'm honest I hit a wall with it about a week and a bit ago, was just running missions and grinding money with no real goal as everything going forward was broken.

Was pumped at getting this at first however, after watching streams and a few YT episodes... I stayed clear due to the issues. Career looks interesting, how is the game now? Majority of bug fixed, or still bad?

Finally picked up the PC12. A little different to the vision jet, but once I worked out how to use it, it’s very easy to fly. Somehow ended up flying over North Africa, a lot easier than Europe with the weather at the moment! Nice bringing in a million plus per run too.

Yea it's really nice.

The Honeywell avionics system is a bit different to the Garmin I'm guessing you are used to, but it's reasonable easy to learn and if anything I think I prefer it.

I haven't played this for a few weeks now, but I'm m keeping in touch. Be interested to see if they bring a decent patch.

I've been playing this a bit with an Xbox Gamepad, Naturally a bit tricky but fancy trying a joystick and throttle.

The Logitech X56 is on offer at the moment and seems the cheapest, but doesn't get great reviews. Anyone got one or recommend another that won't break the bank if i suddenly fall out of love with this game? I don't fancy going down the yoke route as i play a bit of elite dangerous too.

Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas One - High-Precision Flight Stick??

Fairly basic but my son used this for a while before upgrading to something else.

Does the job fine

Things getting a bit out of hand now . Anyone using an ultrawide in their home cockpit and can share what it looks like?

Nice setup there, do you fly other aircraft apart from Airbus or is that one main passion, loving the MCDU there, which one is it?

Thanks. Yeah I do fly other types, but getting more tricky now I'm commited to the airbus setup. Was never my intention tbh, generally prefer Boeing, but have to blame Winwing for releasing the aircus FCU first! Hard to fly without the hardware now I've experienced it. Plan long term will be to have a Boeing setup next to the airbus one.

MCDU is the new Winwing also. Same with the FCU/EFIS and rudder pedals. Sidestick is the FSProjects. Radio module from Mobiflight store.

Thanks for the full setup, I', def interested in one of the Winwing MCDU panels and they seem quite reasonable price too. I actually have an FSProjects sidestick on order but as you will know the build time etc is months so hoping I will have in in the next month or so.

I am thinking of adding a second monitor to display littlenavmap. I fear that if I do it will inevitably start expanding until I have a similar setup :D

What do you have on the tablet to the left?

Is the tablet just an extra screen attached to the main pc or is it a separate device ie ipad/tablet etc? If so how do you attach and link it to the pc running msfs?

It's browser based, run over wifi.

So on your tablet, for the FenixSim A319/20/21, you'd open the browser and go to 192.168.0.XX:8083
