I never had high hopes for it as a console game. I feel like MS are using it more as a showcase for the series X graphical power.

Playing a flight sim with a pad is a worse experience than leprosy.

Any serious players are always gonna go with a PC.

Hopefully hardware like the airbus side stick and throttle will get made for the console. Can’t see it myself though.

World updates have to be downloaded in addition it would seem? They are showing as available to download under the free section of the marketplace.

After a false start at 5. Played for almost the last 2 hours without any major issue and loading times seem perfectly fine aside from the initial minute when the game first starts (restarted it a few times). Thoroughly impressed with it; did the obligatory flight around London clocking all the places where I've lived and then checked out the New York setting. Wow; I can see considerable time vedged out on the sofa with this.

Giving it a break and leaving it in-game to dl the world updates.

Honeycomb are bringing out their Yoke and Throttle and there's a Turtlebeach yoke due later this year wish we could just plug existing stuff in though!

To say I'm impressed would be massive understatement

Personally think it runs like a dream I noticed one tiny slowdown but otherwise smooth as - no crashes yet either

I'm amazed how there is like no difference between Series X and Ultra on a PC.

It certainly shows what the X is capable of. Not bad for a console. I suspect there’ll be much more optimisation coming too. I’m looking forward to DFs analysis to see what is happening in terms of fps, stutter etc.

Looking forward to seeing what the PC update is like performance wise; "pre-patch" on my PC and what I'm seeing streamed on Xbox X looks very similar; however if the patch has made gains then I'd expect my PC to look better!
That said I might grab an X again when I can; I like the idea of being able to play this on the large TV on the sofa!

Likewise. I flew over my workplace and could even see our go-kart track that we’ve worn into the field. Being able to navigate based on local landmarks like the local reservoir, M25 etc is just impressive.

I think flight Sims as good looking as this are perfect for lounge big screen surround sound and can just leave running whilst chilling and take in scenery Vs on PC I'm focussed on just gaming

Marketplace and then World updates; each pack will kick off a slew of individual packages. All of which seem to have slow download speeds!
