**** Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Thread ****

Gah people keep showing off games with 20FPS. Lower the settings! I want 30fps or above!

Mainly I want to know how dota 2 will play on the i5. I don't care for the gfx just as long as I can get a good framerate.

what is stopping u from lowering the settings yourself when gaming hehe.

Oh I know this. I'm just on the fence when it comes to the i5 and i7. Every reddit post I see or site review that does games keeps showing videos of 20 fps but they either haven't lowered the settings or they are playing at the Surface native res which is waaay too high lol.

Yes, but standard figure of 8 cable so just swap it and keep the USA one for traveling.

The Core m3 has a different charger with integrated plug, but i5 & i7 are two parts.

Tweeted to Microsoft UK and they said it will be shipped on the 12th, taking 3-5 business days to arrive. So... looks like a little more waiting time.
 
WiFi is terrible on my SP4, shows full strength but very slow. Not sure if drivers (probably) or defective hardware. Might be with older routers as it seemed OK with my Asus N router at home.

Wish I'd packed my SP3.

EDIT:

Uninstalled the WiFi adapter and it seems better now. Hope it stays that way. Chrome is still randomly crashing.

Had my SP4 a week now and love it :)

Got the i5/8/256 from ebay too - took 2 days to arrive. Waiting for a UK type cover hopefully tomorrow.

Running the latest insider build (10586) and all seems well so far. Currently being used for web / email / fresh paint and some movies.

Screen is beautiful :D
 
Just got an email from Microsoft stating it's been despatched! Checking the tracking link it seems to be UPS, so hopefully from previous experience I may receive it earliest Friday... Unless it's next day delivery, but I can't remember if I picked a delivery option :p.

EDIT: Wait... Just checked my order details... It's just the type cover that's been despatched. The actual SP4 is still in process :confused:.

EDIT 2: Ok just got another email, the Surface has been despatched! Why not bundle both into the same delivery Microsoft :rolleyes:?

JL are taking orders today for in-store pickup tomorrow. I am so tempted to just pick up the i5/8GB/256GB with the £99 3 year accidental damage coverage.

Someone please tell me I'm crazy and that I should wait for the i7 ?!

no wait for the i7 has the gpu is almost double the performance of the i5
