Midweek Football; 27-28th January - *SPOiLERS*

Only one person to blame and thats the manager.

Awful game and awful result. 1-0 up and take of Torres who's been playing well. 1-1 and take off Gerrard who can score out of nothing.

Absolutely shocking with results like these we have no hope of winning it.

Come on you honestly didn't expect it to last did you? Call me ignorant but at no point have Liverpool worried me this season as you just knew what was going to happen.

You're right, everyone knew something would give. We've been playing poorly all season, we've all been waiting for the moment when we hit top gear, and it's still not happened.

There's a long way to go yet but United do look to be in a commanding position. I'm not writing us off yet but you'd be a brave man to put your money on us for the title.

I said it after the Stoke game and i'll say it again, we're better off with 10 men than playing with Lucas. The guy's a ****ing disaster

If Torres wasn't injured then i've not got a ****ing clue why he's come off and the same for Gerrard

I'm a Liverpool fan through and through and I knew it was going to happen. When you see Man Utd and Chelsea and Arsenal play they have quality, everywhere. To many average players in the Liverpool XI.

I wanted to see Riera on. But I wanted to see Babbel who hardly had a touch in the second half off. That would have been the wise decision to make not take off your two most influental people.

****** fed up now what a catastrophe the last couple of weeks have been mainly because the manager is being a muppet thinking he has to rest players (how much rest can taking them off 10 minutes before the end of the game give them.. they're paid to play football ffs!).

I've tried to keep the faith but enough is enough, after tonights performance he can only be described as totally and utterly gash.

I trust the manager to do his job correctly but those 2 decisions are seriously baffling, if you're chasing the game why take off 2 of the best players in the world? It's madness.

Torres came off before the goal but (unless he picked up a knock) he had to stay on never the less. After the last few weeks we should know by now that 1-0 is never enough.

I knew that but couldn't be bothered to word it properly :p

I don't understand why we have to be so cautious, great we're 1-0 up, lets go for the 2nd and the third, not sit on it and hope for the best.

To a degree you can understand it a bit with Torres because he needs to be brought in gradually with the injury he has had. We had the same problem with Giggsy a few years back and we always rushed him back then he would be out again.

That said question marks must persist about Rafa being the right man for the job. People can go on till doomsday that Liverpool don't have enough money but regardless of what you have, I don;t think Liverpool will win the league under his stewardship.
