Midweek Football Spoilers 28/29th Oct

Jenas goal was quality, maybe even better than Bentley's. I think when you see the angle from behind the goal on the latter, Almunia gets slightly fooled/wrong footed because it moves a lot in the air from right to left, meaning he had to stretch outward as much as upward when trying to punch it clear.

The less said about Gomes (or Gomess as I like to call him) the better, I still don't know how on earth he can be considered better than Robinson. Ben Foster would be a fantastic addition to the Spurs squad, as IMO he's one of the top 3 english keepers and his distribution is second-to-none, huge throw outs like (Peter) Schmeichel used to.

The RSPCA have acted very quickly after last nights incident. If you see an Arsenal fan with a dog please ask them to call 0800 4-2 4-3 4-4 for free advice on how to hold onto a lead.

As a neutral living about halfway between WHL and the Emirates, I find the negativity of the Arsenal supporters and the joy of the Spurs supporters quite entertaining, it was a cracking game, but I'd rather lose 2 points and be 3rd in the league than gain 1 point and be bottom :p

What a goal from Lampard! Easily the best scored last night.

Yeah it was a great goal. I was listening to 5 live and Big Phil was saying it was in the top 3 goals ever scored.

I mean was it that good? I can go to a youtube compilation of Le Tissier and find about 10 more which are better in my opinion, but each to their own i guess.

Seriously though I don't think Jenas is getting enough credit for his goal? Clichy slips with the ball on the halfway line, Jenas picks it up, runs straight at the Arsenal defence and then curls a 20-yarder straight past the 'keeper.... yet it was a Clichy gift?

I'm with you on that, Jenas still had a lot to do and took it very well.
