Midweek Football Spoilers 28/29th Oct

A much fairer result (from an independant) would have been about 2-2

there were some really dodgy mistakes from both sides, along with some spectacular goals

Face it arsenal fans, you were way to wasteful when RvP was on the pitch (not that it was his fault), you should have had it in the bag within the hour really (not unlike Utd at Everton at the weekend)

To be honest, any other game the subs Wenger made would have worked, it's just one of them games that occasionally happens that the most obscure of things happen, and Spurs did that.

I don't think they are dissagreeing, are they?

most of the comments I just read highlighted the defensive mistakes - rather than the wastefulness at the other end - thats all :)

Maybe blame Arsene partly for the subs - but players on the pitch from the start should take some of the blame too imo

To be fair, 4 goals isn't THAT wasteful.

Its the other chances that you had to make it 5/6 or 7 that I was talking about :)

If you had made it 5-1, or even 5-2, despite your defensive frailties, its highly unlikely they would have even started the comeback with such a difference

not even mentioning that severel of your goals (like theirs) where absolute gifts, all count and all completely fair but most of your players especially should know the need to play for the full 90 (or was it nearly 100) minutes, rather than stopping dead after 89

They had actually given up in about the 70th minute and then Clichy slipped! Disaster :(, it's a shame as he had a fantastic game besides that.

we will never know.

lets put it to the test how many people in here would have bet against arsenal letting a 3-1 lead go to waste against the bottom side in the premiership?. its the premiership surely we have grew on the fact, anything can happen in the premiership.
(but if we all thought like that there would be no discussions in the world :D)

on that note, anyone know what the the odds were on that game finishing 4-4 ?

Utd in the FA Cup last season wasnt it? (you didnt specify league or anything)
Thought it was Spurs when we luckily beat them 5-1 in the semi's at WHL?

Seriously though I don't think Jenas is getting enough credit for his goal? Clichy slips with the ball on the halfway line, Jenas picks it up, runs straight at the Arsenal defence and then curls a 20-yarder straight past the 'keeper.... yet it was a Clichy gift?
