Midweek Football *SPOILERS* 3/4 March

Well we are getting the wrong kind of excitement from Arsenal this year. Instead of fighting for 1st/2nd/3rd we are again fighting for 4th. Despite it being a poor year with injuries again at least it is exciting.

I am just hoping that we can hang on to all the big players when the year is up and get rid of the loose wood. (I think everyone knows who they are)

A goal would be nice tonight! :)

Wouldn't like to be Newcastle, losing Butt at the weekend too, do they even have any central midfielders fit?

Im chuffed personally, after his performance against Bolton, heatbutting anyone in sight

I personally think everyone around us is going to win, whilst we lose, going to be a depressing time

Arsenal: Almunia, Sagna, Toure, Eboue, Clichy, Song Billong, Djourou, Nasri, Denilson, Bendtner, Arshavin.
Subs: Fabianski, Diaby, Van Persie, Vela, Ramsey, Gibbs, Merida.

Arshavin behind Bendtner? On the left with Nasri in the hole? 4-5-1?

Liverpool line up looks like a 352 to me unless Rafa's doing something crazy like playing Mascherano at right back:

Liverpool: Reina, Mascherano, Skrtel, Carragher, Insua, Benayoun, Gerrard, Alonso, Riera, Kuyt, Ngog. Subs: Cavalieri, Dossena, Hyypia, Aurelio, Babel, Lucas, El Zhar.

Ngog starting upfront for Liverpool tonight with Mascherano starting at right back. Really need the win to keep up with Chelsea and stay ahead of Villa and I think we'll get it. Won't be convincing but a win's a win.

Let the Rafa bashing commence.

utter joke, Gallas out the team Djourou in, concede's a reckless and stupid freekick and we give up a goal, joke.

Djourou, just like Denilson and Song is perfectly happy to give up these utterly stupid freekicks, because they lack any pace to speak of, inability to read the game in any way at all and constantly found themselves so easily passed the only thing they have left is constant fouling, truly pathetic.

Very tidy finish by Bendtner, not power, on his weak foot slotted it home.

At least Arshavin is playing in his actual role, but so so obvious the only way to actually play Arshavin is to drop RVP. RVP is actually a better up top striker than Bendtner so probably should have gone that route. But just shows that when Fabregas is back our best team will have no Arshavin and will be Fab and RVP in the middle. Spending 15mil on Arshavin was utterly criminal considering what the squad needed. He spunked money on a reserve player, then goes and says in a press conference that Man U might be winning, but at least we dominate games more.............. lost the plot entirely.

1959: Comedy of errors from Arsenal. Emmanuel Eboue completely mis-hits his effort from the edge of the box but it turns out to be a lovely pass for Nicklas Bendtner, who turns and blazes over the bar.

how did Jones miss that, completely did Carragher it looked like(crappy stream) through on goal shot too early Reina did well to not come out, crap shot, shoulda been 1-0.

JEsus, WBA, utter crap but they just walk through our midfield like its not there at all, Denilson and SOng are awful, Song for some reason ran into their box for an attack even though they barely ran forwards he WALKED back and didn't make any attempt to get back and defend, and he's our freaking defensive player. Why drop our best player in RVP when we're utterly utterly desparate for a win. Eboue in the middle, Arshavin in the middle, RVP right, Vela infront of Bendtner. When will we play just one game without Diaby, Denilson or song, thats all I want just one. We've been crap all year and he's basically always had 2 of those 3 playing, whenver its down to 1 of them we're generally much better, drop them all and we'll be pretty good again.

Djourou got turned so easily in the box, for their shot, didn't even try and block it just stood there and moved away from where the initial long ball was coming and should have easily won it before there was any danger.

FFS< Song just blocked Arshavin in THERE box when he was going to shoot. Not content with giving the ball away in midfield, and doing no defending he's decided to get forwards and get in the way. what the hell is Wenger/Song thinking. I wouldn't expect him to play for Brentford he can't even make a 3 yard pass correctly.

You seriously couldn't make this stuff up, the utterly useless Djourou played a ridiculous pass into a tightly marked Nasri when it was begging to be knocked long for a safe clearance. the guy stuck the boot in and injured Nasri, but why pass to a very tightly marked player whose only ever going to be bundled in from behind and won't be able to do anything with the ball there. Its just pure stupidity.

I think my head just exploded, Djourou is 15 yards from the ball, jogs over and tries to protect it going out for another 15 yards and ends up playing it out himself, they just almost scored. The fact he could have run to the ball and EASILY cleared it was completely missed by him. How we sent out Senderos whose playing loads of games for Milan and looking decent, and kept the completely hopeless paceless weak crap Djourou I do not know. Just part of Wengers "if theres a decision i'm gonna get it completely backwards" season.

Holy crap, Toure, Arshavin taking a great freekick that wasn't miles to high/long/hit the first person or straight to the keeper.
