I wonder how many of those were beckford, SOOOOOOOOOOOO many times in that match he had choices to pass into better positions and didn't, can't wait till his contract ends so we can get rid of him and get a better player in, his goal count is only high due to the players behind him doing a fantastic job to get it to him.

As a leeds fan i've got to say, im sick of beckford now, if i watch one more game on TV where he messes up and just goes "eugh" and throws his arms in the air rather than following in snodgras great lead (fighting for the ball!) then im marching up to elland road and kicking him in the nuts!

Why?

I just think he's a proven goalscorer at the highest level with a lot of international experience who is invaluable in a tournament like that. I'd much rather have him over Heskey.

I'm just not sure a world cup is the time to take too many chances, you want a few seasoned performers like Beckham and Owen along for the ride imo.

Theres only one thing he has going for him and thats pace, im sure there are better forwards out there with similar pace to him, losing beckford will be like losing delph, we'll think we've lost something great but then quickly realise we have a lot of talent already there and it's not that difficult to replace
