US: Mindhunter (Netflix)

Season 2 has the toolbox killers in it apparently, I wouldn’t advise reading the transcripts online for that case, really messed with my head for a week or so.

What was the significance with the supposed cat in the basement? My thoughts were it was more likely some deranged killer?

Yeah really not pleasant. I watched the documentary about them 'The Devil and the Death Penalty' and the part where they play the recording the killers made of one of their victims and you only hear a tiny element of it echoing out of the court as people run out is just horrendous.

The girlfriend and I binged this over the last couple of weeks. Thought it was great. Very clever idea in that interviewing these murderers, with the idea they might snap at any minute and attack Holden makes for a very tense scene without too much effort on the script etc.

That side by side video with Kemper is very impressive.

Absolutely terrible show. How out of touch must the producers be? Everyone was a white male.

Season 2 needs much more diversity and a strong female POC lead character.
Troll, right?

Yea haha. I really enjoyed Mind Hunters. There haven't been many shows recently that have grabbed my attention the way this show has.

I've just started this, loved the first couple of episodes. One of the few shows that has me completely engaged when watching, the scenes with Kemper are almost surreal with his attitude to the killings.

I'm right at the end of season one. I really like when they are getting into the crimes etc but does anyone else feel the character development is really awkward and poorly put together?

It almost feels tagged on as a "must have" for a show that intends to run for multiple seasons but I personally think it's so poorly done they would be better off without it and focusing on the crimes/criminals.
