US: Mindhunter (Netflix)

Finished it last night as above this season is even more slow burn than the first, looking forward to s3 with how s2 ended.

Wasn't sure about the Anna Torv sideplot with the bartender didn't seem to fit well with the rest of the flow of the show.

Yeah a little slow for me this time, good though! looking forward to the next one. It might be my TV but everyone looks yellow.

I am liking the cinematography on this and enjoyed both seasons, even if I'm not into any of the usual crime TV shows and flood of serial killer material on Neflix.

Anna Torv character was a bit of a disappointment though, seems they tried to give her more screen time but it just wasn't going anywhere and whole character arc just seems pointless really.

Bill looks to have gotten the most interesting story this season, Holden almost seemed secondary at times with little back story.

Guessing they are pushing that BTK killer for next season but wonder how they will handle that since his last kill was in 1991 and he wasn't arrested until 2005. Going by timeline of things, show just ended in 1981.

I agree. And I doubt its left open for S3 judging from the ending screen where they say;
as of 2019 the remainder of the murders haven't been pinned to a perp.

I assume that means it was based on actual happenings?

All the featured cases/killers are real.

Season 3 will either be
a new case with BTK continuing in the background, or feature BTK front and centre (although he wasn't caught for decades)
, imo.

Also, only realised now after two seasons that Tench's wife is the same actress as Tim's rebound in The Office. :o
