Oh Garsands, could we possibly have TNT re-enabled for half an hour sometime?
There is a mountain in my way but I don't want a square hole cut through it...

Besides, someone gave a me a load of TNT a while back that I now can't use, and I do like the explody sound.

Now good news for some bad for others the creeper nerf mod does not seem to work, I was going to have it running just till the beta release, I am still slowly trying to make the spawn monster safe & the creepers are not making it easy.

Do you have any sort of admin command to protect an area and prevent creepers from spawning above and below ground? Something like that would be really useful, it's getting beyond a joke.

Creeper hot spots around the spawn. Over half of the buildings there have been built & there owners no longer care about them <<<<<<< Till they log back on & start giving the server a bad name as they start saying it's grefers !!!
Creepers are not just at ground level but also on roofs & inside buildings basements ect, every day theres more & more as they don't die when the sun comes out.
Ibcould always just clear the whole place with one press of a key I have already done this with worse buildings.

I think you'll really struggle making that big of an area that skyscraper thing is now basically a mob spawning tower as is the spaceship.

As you say it might be worth finding what buildings people want keeping (and moving them away from the spawn if people want) and just flattening the area and making a little walled area around the spawn and grow it as it needs to.

just make sure your area is well lit and protected by a fence with a door.
 
Timed out now. :p

On that above pic, if you see the area around my tower of light, I've started maintaining that bit. I think we all need to choose an area each and get it mob proof.

I can install a mod called WorldGuard this lets me remove creepers from the game but as they are part of the game I dont really want to remove them.

The creeper nerf that I was going to use keeps creepers in game they would still do damage to players but not to the world.
