Minecraft OCuK Forum Members Server Thread

Alright, work is progressing nicely on the titanic. Almost completed the structure of the first deck, with second and third to follow shortly after if I have enough dirt - this will bring the entire ship just above water level and make it a bit more visible.

Secondly, garsands has created a warp point for the ship, so just type /warp titanic to get there. You are free to look around, although it isn't anything spectacular at the moment. If I'm online, just ask me if you want to help out and I'll probably have a job for you to do!

Also, if people have spare dirt/cloth/stone/wood/obsidian, I'd appreciate if you dumped some in the chests by the vault - every little helps! It's mainly dirt that I need at the moment, but I easily get through 2 or 3 full chests a day so I'm always asking for more and more. Really appreciate the help from everyone who has contributed so far, in some way or other!

Just came on today to check out how it's going :)

Everywhere's looking great but it's insane how many monsters there are, it's just a lighting issue, there are vast areas with no torches inside the walls :p

Not sure if this is entirely correct, your Fort area is pretty much mob free but the new upper chest area and lower furnace area had creepers on it earlier. Unfortunately while at the upper chest area one caught me and blew a big chunk away, no worries though, all repaired.
 
Just like to say thanks to everyone, you are all so nice, such a fun and friendly place to be on this server, have noticed that there are a lot of hard-core miners out there who are on during school hours :) I know as I'm one of them, on a Monday at least.

There was some random griefing at the beginning, it seems to have tamed as server is well policed, thanks to admin and the few eagle eyed players out there.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this digging thing.

I think a Santas grotto should be built somewhere for Christmas.

Do we or can we get Christmas Decorations Garsands?
 
Make a grotto and put a Santa skin on :D

Track switching - don't you just need a redstone torch under the block, wired up to a switch/button? Clicking the button will switch the points. I agree redstone can be a bit annoying though...
 
is anytone having problems connecting to the server. Its saying Connection lost End of stream whenever i try to connect to the server.
 
I agree that trying to wire up tracks can be a bit of a pain. Track has a habit of behaving in stranage ways when wired up. Luckily though with a bit of time and planning I managed to wire up the track in my house (designed to transport me from the bottom floor near the bedrock right up to ground level). Currently my track is designed to have a button to request a cart, have the cart pause to give you time to get in, then boost you along. If you are not in the cart then the cart just gets returned back :D

oh yeah that's cause parts of it aren't all halfstone.



I just can't find the place, nothing ever spawned downstairs on the halfstone, i'm not sure if they're spawning on the chests.


edit: found it I left an extra half stone step i used to climb up the racks behind, it made a section up to full height.

Yeah but try and make a junction out of track and see how fiddly it is!

If you take a minecart from the station near the spawn to the edge of Tefal's fort, you can see our little junction we laid- it's not as simple as you might imagine to get it all working!

You are on the whitelist if you was not it will tell you.
how about uninstalling minecraft & installing it again also have you tryed other online servers to see if you get the same error ?
Will do catch up post & new world map later, just got in from work & now school run.

Besides, someone gave a me a load of TNT a while back that I now can't use, and I do like the explody sound.

The server now polices its self now thanks to the bb mod, its now up & running.
A santas grotto, I thought that was what you had been building for the last month :p
No Christmas Decs sorry :(
Huge Baubles is best I can do or a tree.
 
Cool can see my housing estate on that pic, still alive just... I can imagine its a bit of a wreck.

Ill try get in tonight to do it up a bit more if ive some spare time.
 
TNT has now been removed from the server again , it still makes the server crash.
The server can not handle that many TNT blocks going off at the same time.
I will try it again when beta is out. But then please only use one block at a time.
