This looks dangerously time-consuming... :o

I thought it was just a lego type thing, but what's all this TNT and other stuff? Could you use it to launch a "rocket" (as opposed to an animal) by exploding some underneath some "movable" blocks?

Only certain blocks are movable. And I'm pretty sure TNT would blow them away long before they lifted off. :p
 
Just had an epic wander through the caverns underneath the parthenon, came back laden with over 100 iron, about 350 coal, fair bit of gold and the rest full of cobblestones. There is so much down there, you can literally go from cavern to cavern barely needing to dig right from the surface down to the bottom level. The most I had to dig between most caverns was maybe a block or two to get into them or dig out some stairs along the way. It's really crazy down there and very easy to get lost :D

Also a tonne of spiders from one of their spawns, if you take the road from town, when it widens and starts turning into steps if you take a left through a 2x1 passage (not the 2x2 passage) you'll quickly find a ladder down to the spider spawn and the maze of caverns down there. Pretty sure the surface caverns to the right of the path lead down there too eventually.

Did the same on server 2. Got 300 iron 500 coal, 30 odd diamonds, 30 odd gold. Then when I go to smelt stuff it glitches up and loses it. GRR. Feeling lonely, might come visit S1.

We've found a bug with the save system in the current set-up. We are working to get this fixed as soon as we can.

Minecraft - World Save Issue

It seems like there is a very serious bug in the core minecraft server which breaks manual world saves if automatic world save is turned off :(


We are still investigating this, but in the mean time please don't restart your server as your world changes may well be lost.

We have confirmed this is a bug in the minecraft server; we have implemented a workaround for this issue both in Clanforge for when servers are stopped and in our Admin mod.


This update requires that we restart all servers to pickup the new admin mod to ensure that future data is not lost. We have manually requested a save using the workaround so all servers should keep there worlds intact during the restart.


Sorry for the inconvenience, unfortunately with Minecraft being Alpha quality these things can happen :(

We tried doing a quick restart but servers haven't picked up the updated plugin so we're going to have to perform a full restart, which will happen in the next hour.

garsands could you please tell me how you have got your whitelist working, i've got a minecraft server on multiplay too, i've had randoms stop by and it's starting to get a little annoying.
I've got this bit in my server.properties
whitelist=true
whitelist-txt-location=whitelist.txt
and added my own name in the whitelist as so

Got a bit bored so put dirt routes between the top of the pillars for when people start work on the roof again, I don't know what the idea is for them so I didn't want to start. I decided it was all a bit dark as well so I went around putting torches down too.
 
done a cros section of the ledge that sits on the pillars, the "roof/celing" that flat part that goes inside starts at the top of the inside lip of the cross section, and the little channel on the outside will have lava for flood lighting, but for some reason lava disapres when i put it down so left it for now, can't log on again to finish up the section ,so :(
