Minecraft (online Lego essentially)

It doubles when it's fully completed and I think it gets updated weekly...

That and the feeling of supporting an independant game developer is £8.50 worth spending in my opinion...

True yes, but gone are the days of free alphas obviously :p

Atleast he gives the option of a free version, so cant moan too much, just be nice to 'try' the other version for a bit, see if its worth it.

Currently building a big castle thing on the classic version :)

Takes forever chopping away old blocks :o

Oh my god, there are ladders! No more spiral staircases that take ages of time and pickaxes to mine out!!

Hah...I don't have ladders :(

I got bored :p

My girlfriend said i have ocd :(

Boo my server seems have a 10 seconds delay on actions, god knows what's screwing it up.

Prolly an issue with port forwarding, local firewall/antivirus or router hardware with an overly agressive DOS detection system thats throttling the packet rate when it sees what looks like a flood of UDP packets.

Going to nab this. Tried the free version the other day and managed to lose an hour or so just exploring... some of the things people have made in the full version are immense!

OK, bought this (what little sense I once had seems to be long since gone) on the strength of this thread.

I have no idea what I'm doing :p

Read some of the beginner guides and watch some of the Youtube videos. I would have been clueless without them!

First night I was stranded in my "house" with no torches, was disastrous.
Second night I was exploring further back into my cave house and somehow managed to dig into chamber filled with monsters. :(

It's weird how good an atmosphere the game creates. May still be Alpha but I think it's the best £8ish I've spent lately.

argh, god this is addictive. Made myself a little cave hideout and have a decent supply of coal and wood nearby. I've been digging deeper and deeper underground, I'm hoping to find a cavern of some sort. Doesn't really look too homely at the moment though, its just a cut-out of the cliff face with a big room...

Need to learn more about how to regen health, how to craft more stuff etc!

Just paste the last part of the video link in
And Seananners was one of the reasons why I bought the full version of it, he's done about 10 videos now I think (?) playing minecraft which shows pretty much all there is to do on it.

I watched his first video and had a read of this http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Crafting just to pick up the basics.

Is your server open to the rest of OcUk? :)

I remember the 2nd Creative server onwards, was great fun, we need an OcUK SMP server.

Only host it on my computer for me and a couple of mates when SMP is properly sorted I'll host several at work for anyone to use.

Feel free to get me a Steam if you want in though :)
