Minecraft (online Lego essentially)

I've just gone and fallen into this :o
(I've upped the brightness and contrast so you can see better)

Wasn't too bad until I turned to the right and saw another 10 of those green hissy snake things - panic mode :p Turns out they did me a favour blowing up and killing almost everything else :D

Also what is Obsidian used for? Just come across abit of it. ;)

Please someone with more experience than me, set up an OCUK server! Put it as private and set a password/whitelist.

Currently trying to re-create a hobbit home kinda thing...but now I'm inspired to build 'Tom, Dick and Harry' from 'The Great Escape' :D

Obsidian can't be blown up as far as i'm aware so it's a useful building material :D, not sure what type of pick you need to mine it though iron i would imagine

diamond, really. i think its 15 seconds to mine a block with a diamond pickaxe and 30 seconds for anything else. really not worth it :p

edit: its actually 50 seconds for anything other than diamond.

Just bought this, blimey it's easy to lose track of time.

I decided to start mining near the coast, got down to the adminrock, discovered a few nice natural caves full of lovely minerals...and lava, then came up at the bottom of the bloody ocean.

Luckily I was able to make a little well going down to the ocean floor and then made a stairs (blocks, not real stairs, too fiddly) inside it, worked out quite well.

I like it, deep sea mining :D

Just discovered how great the small full block stairs are. I've been using the flat half-block ones to make stairs before, but they take up twice the space for the same height though.

I've finally figured out how to get gun powder off the creepers. Trick is to kill them with the bow not the sword, as soon as you get close enough to hit them with the sword they blow up. Now to find some more flint and feathers for arrows, I seem to have lost all mine.
