Yes, your items will be scattered across the area you died in. I don't think they disappear.

I keep everything. Have loads of chests for construction materials/weapons/tools/valuable items and foods.

Top tip: When in a mine if you crouch you do not fall off edges.

You do normally, I am not sure if crouching and getting hit stops you falling off.

Click the right analogue stick. You'll move a lot slower and be able to peer over those high ledges without fear of falling off (but you may still get shot over the edge by those bow skeletons) but feel free to try and report back.

I'm wary of going online a the moment, there are reports of bugs wiping everything out of your chests when you go back to your worlds.

I am not sure if the bug wipes everything across all maps you have or just the map you created that then has people join, so we could create a brand new world and join that and hopefully it wouldn't break anything else.

Turned a corner and got shot into lava by a skeleton.

Lost my map of the area and a few piles of cole and other resources, luckily I stashed my enchanted diamond pick axe and diamond sword, took me a while to make another map and find my way back.

Luckily nothing of any value lost apart from 39 levels of XP.

Was pretty upset though until I realised I hadn't lost anything too high.

We could build a minecart system for the achievement. Also do the diamonds one.

You have to go off the map and the craft a new one in that area to then show that map.

I've found a village of sand near me, but I went off searching on Saurday for a temple/another village but found nothing.

Was quite disheartened by it too for some reason.

No problems, that seed is fantastic! So much to explore and see in that ravine. Very impressed.

I do find it a little inconsistent how long/which items disappear when you die.

Sadly you can't do that. Would have to be a map on one persons console which we then all go on when people are online.

I'm thinking of starting a new map next time as my current one feels so barren.

I've nearly finished the powered rail from my house out to the mining area. All fenced and torched, rail's most of the way now. Just need to finish the "station" at the ravine end. You could all strike off on the other 3 compass points and make rail out to your areas and we can have a central hub.

How long is the railway?

Could pop the trophy for travelling a certain distance via minecart.

I think it equates to 500 blocks you have to travel.

You need to travel to point at least 500m in a single direction from where you start.
