Mini fail

Even a trolley brushing into it is going to cost a fortune!
So? The costs should then be recovered from the party causing the damage.

Insurance companies are businesses, not public services, if they don't think they will make money from a client then they won't bother.
You are required by law to have insurance to drive in this country, as such they should be prepared to insure a vehicle, any vehicle.

What, who's going to recover the costs if some scrote keys it or pushes a trolley into or even does a hit and run?

I'm legally required to wear clothes in public, does that mean M&S have to give me free pants so I don't walk around ******* naked?

Further proof, if any was required, that you live in a total dreamworld.

Erm, it's still the owners responsibility to get the insurance - if they cant afford it or obtain it, then they shouldnt be driving the car on the road. The insurance companies have no obligation to anyone except their existing customers

Hard to believe that no one in the country would insure him though, did he just come to that conclusion after go compare didn't give him a £300 insurance premium?

I wonder how many that wouldnt insure him were just giving silly quotes that he didnt want to take?

About the same amount of insurers that quote young drivers £10,000 because they don't want the risk on their books.

A company WILL cover that, just at a cost which is entirely reasonable considering they chose to have a car with that finish.

The time spent whining to the Sun could have been spent just doing a few quotes before dropping a stupid amount of money on a car like that.

No, living in a world where I dont think we should tolerate little ****s damaging cars

Well unfortunately these things do happen and when you buy something as expensive and attention seeking as this, be prepared to be loaded up on your premiums.

I don't choose to drive around in something like that so why should I have my premiums loaded up for someone who does make the choice?

The kind of idiot that buys his wife a chrome-plated mini instead of saving the money for his kids to go to university.

Errr maybe they could afford both? Maybe the kids don't want to go to University? If they do, haven't you heard of student loans?

How do you know he doesn't have money to send his kids to university?

I should imagine anyone stacked enough to drop nearly £40k on a Mini for Valentine's day isn't worried about having enough to send his kids to uni. I'm sure he'll scrape by somehow.

Does it matter? Wouldn't you agree that there should be plenty of other things on the list between "send kids to university" and "buy chrome plated mini"? It gives his occupation as "builder".
